In all truth the gun should not make the player. But the player make the gun. Semi-auto walk it as fast as you can. mY 2 BITS

Thanks Curtis...
and no, you can't use the double trouble for x-ball. Nobody will play with you again, heh!

if your trying to keep it affordable, in my opinion, ramping really isn't the way to do it.

Other factors:

Depends:
1) How long we make the game halfs...10 min.,15 min., or standard 20 min.
2) How good of shot and player you are, how long your team hangs on.
3) How much fun you want to have...

Keep in mind that ramping is not mandatory.

X-Ball Decision

The final decision on the X-Ball tournaments at Velocity Paintball has been decided. First of all, we would like to thank all of those players, Advisord Board, and paintball enthusiasts who have supplied input into this decision.

After much discussion and contemplation, Velocity Paintball will go with the 3-man X-Ball Tournaments. There are many reasons why, we would like to give you a few:
First, most teams in the area are already set at 5 players. By playing the 3-man, this will give the team 2 immediate players for reserve, and make it easier for the teams to find 1-2 more players if they want to.

Second, 3-man will keep the paint consumption way down, which will make a lot of players happy and make it easier to form more teams.
Paint will be FPO, but competitive. Paint will be unlimited.

Third, the X-Ball format of play and rules can be followed right now, and it will make it easier to transition to 5-Man X-Ball should the time come.

Forth, it will make it easier for the Beginner Class of players to learn.

Fifth, for the first year of X-Ball Tournaments in Utah, the refereeing and logistics will be easier.

During the next two weeks, we will be placing information into the
playatvelocity.com web site concerning tournament costs, team tournament applications, dates of the tournaments, and other information relevant to the X-Ball tournaments.

One modification to the X-Ball rules for next years tournaments will be the time limit of the half’s. (This is still subject to change…)
The first 3 tournaments will contain half’s of 15 minutes each.
The final tournament will go to the full 20 minutes per half.
This will also cut the paint consumption for the first year.

The decision on ramping has not been decided yet...

I think it sounds pretty fun, too bad you couldn't do a 5 man but it is probably better for Utah, hopefully there will be more teams because of it.
