Divisions

Correct me if I'm wrong, but most of the players from UXPL or players that have played locally have not played X-ball tournaments. I'm not saying everyone, but most. The format for X-ball is different from the UXPL, it is different than what most players have played from within the state. I also indicated from a previous post that the classifications were a way of establishing where a player may want place themselves prior to registering for the X-Ball tournaments.
You need a basis for establishing classification of players from the area who have not played X-Ball...it is a different animal.
We can bring in the PSP classifications, but are the local players ready for that?

Are we talking PSP classifications, or how we will align the teams for the X-Ball tournaments at Velocity?
If your talking PSP, you can go to PSPevents.com - 5-man rules and it will outline the classifications, which we may or may not finally adopt.
5-man NPPL and similar tournaments have been the mainstay here in Utah.
Also, have you played X-ball tourny Franky?

Correct me if I'm wrong.
I believe that Franky's question steams from the general rule that allows an amiture 5 man team to recrute one novice level player. This allows teams to improve with the help of a more skilled individule on the team.

Something to keep in mind is that in a 5 man team the novice player only makes up 1/5th the team on the field. Not too much of an advantage over a team with all amitures. However when you allow the same rule for a 3 man team than that novice player now makes up 1/3 of the team on the field. Quite an advantage over an all amiture team.

In sumery I don't think that rule would be fare in a 3 man tournament.

Just my two cents.
