We concur, but the ability for teams to form up at least 7-8 members is down the road. Standard 5 man should have at least 10 players (5 playing, 5 replacement) at least 2 in the pit crew, coach, etc. If you had a 15 minute half, a single 5-man team might not be able to answer the bell on the fourth or fifth game. They would be to exhausted! Then after the sides are switched, the same 5 players would have to do it all over again...
The five man would be exciting, but let's take it in stages...3-man first.

I forgot to add this earlier, I took it out of a Warpig discussion forum..it's interesting.....

It was then, during the first day’s matches, and following through the double elimination framework, watching a team drop out from frustration and exhaustion, and seeing the fans in the packed grandstands jump, shout, cheer and scream, that my X Ball skepticism started to turn. For a game to watch, as a spectator it was exciting."

As indicated in the previous release on the 3-man X-Ball, the paint will be FPO, but competitive for the teams that play the 3-man X-ball tournaments next year at Velocity.

🙂 Divisions

In order to keep things simplified for the first year of X-Ball, we will stay with the Division format that everyone is familiar with. We will use the PSP format later next year....
Young Guns - no tournament experience, ages 10 thru 14.
Beginner - no tournament experience - 15 and older.
Rookie - 1 year tournament play
Novice - 2 years " "
Amateur - more than two years

Remember, Velocity Paintball will hold one or two qualifying Performance X-Ball tournaments if teams have doubts about where they stand in Tournament Divisions or they think that they need to move up in the divisions...otherwise, if the tournaments are not necessary, the division standing you presently have will stand.

So if you played 2 years of locals you have to play novice, where a team that has played 2 years of nationals tournaments also can play novice, doesn't make sense.

I hope your wrong. But as it sits, it sure looks like that is the case. They definitely need to look at that. Because most of the NOV teams from UXPL. Although, they did have 2 years experience. Didnt play, as a team, nationaly.

But with the time they have remaining. I am sure that will be resolved.
