Evidently there are teams that want to do the 5-man X-Ball also.
When we start doing the pre-registrations in January, we will have available on the registration form, a 5-man X-Ball registration section.
"IF" we can get at least 2 teams from each division, as noted on the registration form, we will do a 5 man x-ball tournament also. It will be unlimited paint and probably ramping as allowed by the PSP tournaments.
We will soon post the fees for these events.

Velocity Paintball will be holding X-Ball clinics for all teams that have an interest in X-Ball next year. These clinics will be advertised thru our data base, internet web site, forums, news adds, etc. There will be no charge for these clinics. Formats for the x-ball play, rules, paint information (pricing discounts, brands) practice field, team requirements, prizes, team divisions, and other information will be discussed. Team captains or interested individuals may sign up thru Velocity Paintball (529-0276), or by signing the register at Bad Ass Paintball, located at 1689 North Main, Sunset, Utah. The first clinic will be held on Feb. 25, 2006.....Location and times TBA.

These clinics are recomended for all first time x-ball players and gives the players a chance to voice their comments.

ballslinger, we are still in the process of working this out. We still have a lot of planning/meetings to do before final decisions. When we do have it finalized, we will post it on the web-site and in here.

During the next week, we will be posting various items of information regarding tournaments at Velocity Paintball for next year. We will post on the Tournament Forum, but refer you to the Velocity Forum for any extensive details.
Within the next 10 days, the information will also be on the Velocity Website under "Events".
We will have a calendar in there for all individuals to see and download information relevant to the Tournaments.

As we release information concerning the 2006 Velocity Paintball Calendar of Events, we want to stress that the events planned will be based on initial registration responses starting in Jan. 2006. If the registrations for certain events do not meet certain #'s critera, then we will not do that event next year.
We have planned certain events with discounts for early registrations.
The X-Ball Tournaments have generated a lot of interest. Right now, there have been commitments from a number of teams. However, this X-Ball "project" will require a certain amount of capital outlay by Velocity Paintball because of the X-Ball format, the X-Ball bunkers and various other projects to make the X-Ball Tournament a success. We are committed to do this, but we need to have the commitments from the teams as well. This is why we are having the early registrations set up for you.
As I have mentioned, we are working on circuit play for the paintball community. If this program can be worked out, it will generate more excitment and help everyone.
We are working on bulk shipments of tournament grade paint for all of the tournaments. This will help on keeping the paint costs down and allow for you to play more tournaments. We will have more on this after the first of the year (Jan.), so as to help you decide what tournaments to play.
Our suggestion to you is to save and plan your $$'s. 2006 could be one of the most exciting for paintball in Utah. You have a lot of people who are interested in achieving this. Support your shops and your fields. We will do our very best to support you!!!

The following represents some preliminary information concerning the Velocity Paintball "Top Gun" Tournament.
This event will be advertised across the state, data base, web site, the Bad Ass Paintball shop, and through forums.
There will be 4 Venue challenges: Urban Town, The Island, Riverside and our air ball field.
April 14, 2006 - Preliminary Eliminations.
April 15, 2006 (if necessary) - Finals play for “TOP GUN” and awards.
Age Group Divisions: Division 1 players, ages 10-14, Division 2 players, ages 15 and up.
ENTRY FEES IN ADVANCE - $25 per participant by Feb. 15th, 2006. (The fee will be $35 after Feb 15th, 2006. $10 late fees after April 1, 2006).
Field Paint - Tournament grades ($38-40)and higher.
Events will be judged by:
One on one refs.
One middle ref.
One official timekeeper.
Two official score keepers.
Three Trophies - one for each division.
Prizes - TBA 30 days prior to event.
Pairings by draw and by divisions.

Markers chronographed to 285.
Unrestricted markers.
No Ramping.
Unrestricted paint.
Attack and defend for each participant per venue.
Timed events. Fastest times receive points.
4 venues = 8 chances for last standing - 4 defend and 4 attack.
Players can take best three venue scores of four venues for best placing.
Best four players of each division move on to finals.
Finals played in Urban Town Venue.
All rules to be posted by Feb. 15, 2006.
Ties broken with final attack/defend on Urban Town Venue

We have been queried as to what the top prize for the "Top Gun" Tournament will be:
If we get the registration for this tournament at 60 players, Division 2 only, ages 15 and up, we will give away for the top prize, a new Ego!!!
