anybody shooting with a ramping gun can point the marker at an opponent running for a bunker, wiggle his fingers and hit him. leave some skill in the game and cap it...or at least don't allow ramping.

the pods idea is a good idea too.

Only allowing a certain amount of pods is kinda crazy. It is like any sport there are divisions, but you shouldnt restricts per division. Take car's for instance you have the different time brackets, an 8 second car is in the 8 seconed bracket but say one rich guy has put more into his car so it does a 8.19 and the guy with less money only does a 8.78, you cant make everyone go the same speed, or it wouldnt be any fun to watch or participate in. Limiting bps works but limiting amount of paint you can use is stupid.

Its great to hear everyones opinion just because when they go to a real tournament like xpsl or nppl(if they ever get there)all they are going to do is bitch. But Derek I do see your point.
Like I said Laser tag buddy. You and me 1 on 1. Are you MAN enough??? 🙂

Thanks to everyone for their logical input on the issue. I am keeping a close eye on the NPPL rules sub-committee regarding the Ramping and BPS issue

I have invited the Dogs or Worr, they are interested. I will let you know if they committ. If they come then the rest may follow.

I also got a call from a team owner in Missoula Montana and he is very interested in what we are doing and he wants to bring other Montanta Teams and even some Oregon teams. He is a forner world cup winner and scrimages againts the Naughty Dogs (according to him) he wants good competition though so I hope teams like Tombestone, Misfits (X-X-Code, X-Zuma, X-Fury, X-Turtles), Turtles, Ataxx and others join the UXPL Open class to make a Killer division!

I also have a new team from Boise about to sign, the captain is a former PSP Player from Chicago.

I am surprised by the support from the out of state guys but they all like what we are trying to do and want to play. I told them they are welcome.

I would feel bad if any local teams delay reserving thier slots and I have to say "Sorry we are full" but we will hold firm on the 24 team events unless we can add another field or two.

Cory still needs some Refs so PM him if you are interested..

I like Allen's idea of as you move up the division the more bps and ramping boards you can have. I say rookie 15 bps cap no ramping, novice no cap, and open ramping and no bps cap. I am now kinda seeing it dereks way just for the sake of keeping the beginer players and keeping it as fair as possible.

Well i just finished reading this entire thread, and i have to say that it may be old but better late then never. Allen practice what you preach, if you don't know what that means then go back and read. second i side with tuby and jordan and all of them. you guys didn't play when they had the boards they have today, i.e. the tado, board, the dyanasty board, and many others. so it wasn't a worry back when you guys played tourney. i think that anything should go. if you can't handle gettin shot 50 times THEN DON'T PLAY. i already know how alot of you are going to respond to this post and that is by saying "you don't even play paintball enough to know" and for that i say lick my balls. if you guys are so worried about getting shot 50 times then put everybody into classes, put everyone who has a ramping board, or any other non stock board into one class and everyone else into another. all of you need to grow the fuck up. and allen do not put your mod hat onto my post.

Thanks I will go one better! New website coming....

We are redesigning the site and I hope to include a Team Zone where teams can upload thier own pictures, data, etc and create thier own Team managed area. They can also link that back to thier own forum here on 801. It should be a good way for teams to see who all is playing.

I dont have the staff to do all this thats why the plan is to create a Team controled user interface and password, and you guys can upload your own pictures and data, even a video clip from UXPL events.

Now we will see how long it takes another website t to copy that idea...... 🙄

I am also discussing Video contracts with several companies and we hope to have a UXPL DVD available after events for a reasonable cost.
So far the costs are too much but I hope to get the cost down to a reasonable rate.

Dude, your a RETARD...SERIOUSLY! It doesn't change the game just the cost, you just don't get it do you? No reason to get hostile because you want to hide behind the trigger.
