Huh ? Are you saying that those of us who played before 3 years ago are just so old and stupid that we can't understand the game ???

No one said it didn't. Thats kinda the point. If you allow Ramping and all the "Cheater" boards then the skill of pulling the trigger fast no longer matters. Everyone can shoot fast.

Like I said there is pros and Cons to both positions.

K first off if that offends you, then you got reall touchy feelings. I was just saying back when he played tournys they didnt have those kind of guns. I am not calling you stupid you own a paintball business you know 10 times more then I do. I say NO RAMPING BOARDS! O ya I guess I jumped to conclusions but when derek said it didnt take any skill to go threw 3 cases a tournament I figured he meant it doesent take skill to shoot fast.

Jordan and Tubby..

You guys are entitled to your opinion.

What I am trying to do is get you to think a bit... Think about both sides of this discussion. I understand where you guys are coming from. I understand where Derek is coming from.

There is more than "ONE" way to see this issue. Thats why we started a discussion on it.

G-Night..

if you want to cap it or use cheater boards do it next year because the price of a cheater board is probably gunna be about what you pay for a tournament so announce it now and then have it come into effect

a 15bps cap wouldnt do that much because most people shoot about 14-16 yes plenty of people shoot over that but it is usually in short bursts

I just want this year's UXPL to be huge. I want teams coming from out of state to play and if that means having a bps limit then fine. I personally don't shoot over 15 bps, most of the time, so there is no problem with me. And ramping should not be allowed, duh.

Ramping

The real issue....

You want NO Ramping and unlimited BPS. You opinion is noted.

That is currently the way that Cory and I envisioned the 2005 rules and that is the current NPPL rule.

Heres are the problems.
Most of the NEW Tournament guns ARE Ramping guns, right out of the box. Do we disallow them?

DM5's, Joy Division Angel, Shocker, Nerve, etc....

Then we have to inspect the chip in every gun, and perhaps even download the code and examine the code. Then there is the secret modes on any chip for any gun.... All difficult to detect.

Then there is the same argument you guys are already making. If I can afford a Ramping gun then I should be able to use the latest technology...

Just some food for thought....
