New to Utah very disapointed!

I am new to Utah from California and found out about XPS and was excited. Come to find out there is not much participation. I am used to playing NPPL and XPSL formats and paying an arm and a leg for them. It is nice to see that there is a series that is not so expensive but the participation around here sucks.

Agreed!!

EGO13 i am also not from Utah and even thow I don't play this style paintball, I have friend that do, so I've been following the league. I couldn't believe that the players let this one cancel. Its obvious that UT players are not ready for real paintball tournaments. How do they expect to make it to a XSPL event, if they can't even make it to a local feeder. A feeder that they even asked for. I hope the league doesn't shut down its all UT has left.

This was out of the norm.

XPS usually gets a great turnout.

Just so you know.

Thats great but this was a feeder to the XSPL and only one team registered. This was a national event and they let it go. What do you think is going to happen to the Syder Cup. XPS is doing a great job, but they can't keep wasting time and money if no one is going to play the bigger events...

What was the reason for this event being canceled besides only one team registering? I know the team that I started to play with was about to register when we found out the event was canceled. I am looking forward to the the future of XPS and my team playing but I just hope we can for a long time and hopefully get the participation XPS needs to keep it going.

Only 1 team registered. People had plenty of time to do so. Procrastination is something that should maybe stop when registering for a tournament. Theres no use holding a tournament and loose a ton of money based on hope there will be more people that will show up.
1 registered team = event cancelation. Its that simple.
Might have been bad timing or people need to get there shit together but the outcome was the same.

Warning for future events. People have plenty of time to submit their admission.

I agree with you. I am not putting down the XPS. It is not XPS's fault for teams not registering. I just think it sucks that there is not enough participation to let a great tournament series go with out being played. I wish all the best for XPS and for there future because I hope my team and I can be part of it.

❗

There are many reasons why the event was canceled, Teams just cannot wait till the last minute.

The biggest thing is that people are just not spending money... Even if is for paintball. If this event was 2 years ago we would have had over 20 teams.. Easy. Lets face it the TRUE players are the only thing that will paintball going full speed. We know that gas and bills are more expensive these days but I know of a lot of players that are still around and playing daily or weekly.

For the XPS to run properly we need 12 teams MIN registered 2 weeks from the event date. We are not about to spend time and money for 6-7 teams just is not worth our time and effort. We feel sorry for those 7 teams that were excited to play but it is the Players fault for not getting a team together. We still hold a huge practice the day everything was canceled such as today we had over 30 people out playing. Even a team that drove from Price Utah to just come and play. Those are the players that we need in the sport now more then ever.

I hope this clears everything up.

Spyder Cup May 24th @ XPS is the next event. Only ROOKIES but all players should come out and support.

Thanks for all the support
