It's been quite a while since I've been around, so perhaps I missed something...

But is this really what Utah paintball has devolved to in the time I've been away?

Cancelling tournaments because people can't get organized? Bickering about someone's DUI or calling someone fat and old?

Utah has a very deep talent pool, but there seems to be some self sabotaging going on with all in the infighting. Many seem to view the game and Utah's players incorrectly, and therein lies the downfall. It should not be Utah vs. Utah, it must be Utah vs. Everyone else.

Without that, immaturity reigns supreme.

Look at the teams from southern California. (Granted, they have the best weather, but put that aside for the moment). If you observe the SoCal teams, they view themselves as members of a single entity: Southern California paintball. Granted, they all want to win, but they are thrilled when other SoCal teams win instead. They all help each other, guest with each other's teams, buy from their local shops, play their local tournaments above all else, et cetera. Indeed, they see the big picture. They know that an unappreciated privalege soon disappears.

I now step down from my soap box.

Congrats to Sl Tension for their consistent presence on Sundays in the PSP.
Congrats to Tombstone for consistently placing in NPPL.

The rest of you should be doing everything you can to promote and ensure the success of the teams listed above. Their success is Utah's success, and therefore YOUR success.

Nescit vox missa reverti.
