I just want to say thanks to all the people who enjoyed the event. I know that paintball tourneys have a lot of emotion in them and some people have to find excuses of why they lost and put blame on anyone and everyone but themselves. Thats just tells me what type of player or team you are. Just remember that this is the first year of a psp it's not going to be the best but it will only get better. I do have a fun time out there reffing it, but i would rather be playing in it. I know that Velocity wants to give you guys a good event and if you talk to them like a human tell them whats going on they will work hard at fixing the problem. Thats my few cents that i have to say.

No, I would rather say that it sucked for a few people because they made it that way for themselves. I have got much more positive than negative feedback and a lot of teams are ready to play the next one.

If one wanted to judge this tournament by saying it sucks because of the common problems one might see in a tournament,,, then all tournaments would suck.

I would have to say that the positive feedback from players and the fact that they want to come back to the next tournament speaks for itself.

As has been stated before if you don't like the reffing then come out and ref. X ball is a completely different set of rules and it is up to the players to know the rules. Also the one ref who does have the experience could not be on the field due to medical reasons. but I heard form teams that were not winning that the ref were doing the best they could and they were learing just like the teams that were there. The people who want the experienced refs better be ready to pay for it the refs some want start at a hundred and fifty a day and go up from there. so for one field the cost would be between $1500.00 to $2500.00 this cost would be passsed on to the teams that play do you want to pay $500 to $700 to play. I think it would be better to keep bring back the local refs and have them improve with each event.

Dude what are you talking about, the players play the refs ref. As players we knew the rules and every time we would try to argue a call we'd end up in the penalty box. Wow I doubt ill be attending the next vlocity. Its up to the refs to know the rules by heart and for them tomake educated calls rather than running around like chickens witht their heads cut off or rather not running around at all and letting hits dissappear like mad!!! The event was ridiculous thats all there is to it and come to a UXPL i know for a fact that the refs there dont get paid like what ur talking about and they do a great job as said by many many many customers.

michael I have been at every uxpl this year no they don't get paid as high as at a nppl or psp event but they also have a lot more experience then the refs at velocity. Did your players try to argue the calls on the field or did the captain go to the head ref to dispute the call? If your player tried you can be penalized for arguing with a ref. If your captain tried and was given a penalty that is a different problem. None of the refs at velocity this last event have been through certification for the PSP They are learning through experienc. I would like to hear about some of the problems you had at velocity. I will be at the uxpl if you would like to talk before or at lunch break the rest of the time I will be working.

That is the problem. They eliminated one of our players because he wouldnt allow himself to be pulled out of his bunker to have the ref check him in the open to check him. They need to not portray themselves as a PSP feeder if they are not truly one. It was fun but not worth the hassle.
