Velocity1-

I have to apologize for not being able to make it any of the two Saturdays we were looking at to volunteer. The first was the day Spring Break started up here at USU, so only two of the guys on the USU team (one being myself) were here. Last weekend was Easter Weekend, so everyone went home (being that the vast majority are Utah natives).

A lot of our team and club members are also going home this weekend because of the LDS general conference. I myself am traveling to SLC for this along with 10 people, so my chances of helping out are slim to none.

If you guys are working on the field any other weekend coming up, please do let us know because we know we will be open and no vacation or events will be obstacles.

One other thing- our club/team has been running ads on Aggie TV here on campus, and the RA on my flooor saw it and wants me to schedule a floor activity where we all go paintballing, partly because I'm the captain of the team and VP of the club. It snowed here in Logan yesterday (right when it gets warm and all the snow melts, more falls) so I asked if they'd be down for going to Ogden and they said it'd be fine to get some school vans and drive down.

Is there any possibility you give group discounts, even for your opening week? My RA has said we need to keep it relatively low per person so their remaining money isn't lost to this one event.

We are also thinking (as a club) that we could host a Utah State University Paintball Night later this year when the fields are all completed and you're all settled. It'd be a great opportunity to attract interest for our club, team, your facilities and the sport of paintball as a whole. I've talked to many students around campus and they were excited for the possibility of this happening.

There will be Group Rates and Promotions available, contact Velocity1 or myself and we will discuss your situation.

I think a Club event is a great idea just let us know what you have in mind and we will make it work for you..

Thanks for the support..

Paint

What type of paint are you selling. I run a flatline and need small to med size or will have problems otherwise.
So what are you selling so I know which to pick up. 😉

🙂

Hey all since we all have been on the same note of talking about the new Velocity Paintball field I thought I would give you my two cents on it. I think it is going to be an excellent field and great for utah I have helped out there pretty much every weekend since the first of March and have seen the changes all the volunteers have made and all the help has been wonderful and I know is still welcome this week and weekend so they can open on the 16th. Just come out support your sport and the field and I know you will not be disappointed in what you see and find that they have to offer you here at velocity.

Drasco,

We will be selling a new formulation of Zap spank and Zap Tork-- both have been proven to shoot quite well out of a flatline.

Other goodies?

Well thats good.

How about other goodies?
Grenades?
Food?

Also I noticed you removed the feild about the seal beach? IS that due to saftey issues moving across the water? If so one answer I've read about is that the boat is on the beach and you move to it with one foot in the boat with a plaque held up that your not read. As soon as the plaque is dropped in the boat your fair game.

Still get that landing feel and eveyone is on dry land and no safety issue.

Just a thoought or two, sorry they leak out from time to time. 😛

Grenades will be available on site.

Food will be available in a few forms.

1) Opening weekend is Free Hot Dogs and Drinks, other event weekends will be similar
2) Concessions for pre packaged food & drinks, at Velocity HQ
3) We expect to have an onsite food vendor most weekends, Hamburgers, Sandwichs, Burritos, etc.
4) BBQ'ers will be provided for players to cook thier own lunch.

Insurance Regulations will not allow ANY activity near water.
We may pursue additional insurance to allow the Rafts for a special scenario game but for now that is a NO GO!

going back to you guys complaining about paint quality and paint price I have a comment:

Think of it this way, if Velocity were a BYOP setup then what would you do? Here is what I would do:

1 Go to millenium get air fill and paint
2 Go to velocity and play

So what does it matter that Velocity is field paint only? You are still buying the same stuff you would normally have to go to Millenium to buy. This way you can go straight to the field instead of stopping at millenium.

This is how I imagine paintball for me now that Velocity is going up:

1 Go to Veloctiy and get air fill and paint, and play

The price and quality of paint will be similar to what you expect from millenium I think the paint will be a good deal compared to other Utah fields. (Planet Paintball $90 per case) for example
