Dem

I vote straight Dem. Why? not because i am a huge Obama fan but because Mccains Economic Program is designed for the trickle down theory.

The republicans have always believed that the rich should get the most tax breaks and be supported and their money will "trickle down" to the masses.

In my expierence this system is terribly flawed, and the democrate economics support someone in my tax bracket much better.

The simple truth is that if you carry your lunch to work or make less than 150,000 a year you should vote democrate (in my opinion) as they are goning to provide you with the most economic support and relief.

Personaly i really think the Dems screwed up this year with their Canidate selection. What essentially should be a slam dunk election (due to Bushs blunders) turns out to quite a race as they choose two politically correct Canidate instead of a more qualified canadate.

This may very well cost them an election and Doom us to another 4 years of republican leadership.

HaHa I didn't say you'd run for president, kid. Read it over a few more times, and it just might hit you. Just so you all know... Paintball guns are legally considered "firearms" and the democrats, including Obama and Hillary, have very controlling oppinions on any kind of firearm. I've kinda followed the gun control debates just a bit, and it seems like there's always someone out there that still thinks that guns (even Painball guns) kill people. I'm for freedom. Let me choose my insurance companies, and let me keep my ability to enjoy the outdoors and protect my family. Global warming is a social phenomenon. I don't think we need to spend our nations money trying to prevent something that was made up by some socioeconomical money grabber. I obviously haven't measured polar ice caps, or sea level; but, I've read articles by "scientists" who have. I just want the government to keep the economy afloat, keep my neighborhood safe, and maintain the highways. Leave me be to take care of the rest for myself.

Z, I was fully expecting you to etiher not respond; or, say Bush. I guess you're free to hate on him. You won't hear anything from me. haha

(The following is my opinion) Americans have forgotten how to work, and would like the government to fix all their problems (katrina), since when did it become acceptable to sit around and complain about what is wrong, rather then go out and get a job and contribute to one's own well being. Democrats have made their place among "poor" voters because they give higher budgets to food stamps, unemployment, and welfare. People have learned they can vote money out of their government. However when was the last time a democrat gave the American people a tax break? They raise taxes to pay for the aforementioned programs. Who foots the bill with higher taxes? The RICH DO!!( see attached pics) Stop complaining about how much more money your neighbor has and do something about it!

If you want to see just how good "free" health care is go up to ONtario canada.... Its pathetic. Higher taxes, say 15% or so on every purchase, longer waiting times at hospitals and usually no specilized care and doctors don't care to do anything good, cus they get a base rate for nationalized health care system. Its pathetic.

Democrats seem to want everything for free... as mentioned above, but it screws us. They also want to move to make gay marriage, in my understanding legal, as well as abortion..... Sweet, two ways to screw the basic building block of any nation. The family.

Some good arguments.

Derek, I liked your view. Well thought out and expressed.

Krispy, I am a republican but you seem to tout the hard line christian view. I am not a great fan of extremes though. I do agree wholeheartedly on the socialized medicine though. The socilaized countries run out of money for care around the 20th of each month. People die in those countries where the american health system could have saved them.

Braden. Once again you show you ignorance. Please educate yourself before you make inflamitory and misinformed remarks. I am sorry that your neighbor died. That is tragic. But in reality, as an officer. He should hold to a higher standard. And as a medical officer he should know that placing yourself in a dangerous situation like that is against the uniform code of military justice. I belive Total_Chaos can back me up on that one. I know this because when I was in, I was charged for a tattoo. You can get charged for a sunburn.

Furthermore, Bush did not instigate this war. The war was comitted to and decided on by who? BILL CLINTON! He signed into law the Iraqi Liberation Act of 1998. That act comitted us to war. Bush just sent us to war. I agree that we are in a quagmire right now. I have lost 6 friends to IED's and the war. It sucks. But it is not a vaccum we can leave right now. 911 was not bush's fault either. Clinton was offered osama bin laden by the Sudan. and according to Mansoor Ijaz President Clinton and his national security team ignored several opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist associates. In May 1996, the Sudanese capitulated to U.S. pressure and asked Bin Laden to leave, despite their feeling that he could be monitored better in Sudan than elsewhere.

Bin Laden left for Afghanistan, taking with him Ayman Zawahiri, considered by the U.S. to be the chief planner of the Sept. 11 attacks; Mamdouh Mahmud Salim, who traveled frequently to Germany to obtain electronic equipment for Al Qaeda; Wadih El-Hage, Bin Laden's personal secretary and roving emissary, now serving a life sentence in the U.S. for his role in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya; and Fazul Abdullah Mohammed and Saif Adel, also accused of carrying out the embassy attacks. Most of those guys are among the FBI's most wanted.

actually it is because you mention gay marriage and abortion. 2 of the major issues the church seems to be concerned with.

The church...... or the nation as a whole right now... the issues aren't just christian... they are issues to anyone and anywhere. Abortion = Murder - if anyone that is a proponent for abortion was well aborted, wouldn't that person then not be here to raise that vote....... Gay marriage also denies the existence of life to continue. From a human standpoint, why would I as a citizen want to allow these negative ideas to be legal in my nation.

People always fall to the notion that if it is done in the privacy of ones own home, then it can't hurt me.... thats a false notion.
