stay low as you can but still in a position where you can hop up fast and shoot and most of the time dive into it and when you are trying to shoot stay in a position kinda like the fedal position with your knees under your chest

Michael here. Wow kev I reeally really appreciate you saying that! It honestly means alot. Anyway, James is right. The main things to understand when playing the snake or the zipper are: it is your job to kill people and not to hold the tape unless your backman is loading, also the snake is a very hard place to gunfight from so if you're taking heat, talk to your team or be quiet until the enemy "forgets" about you. The other thing is to LISTEN TO YOUR BACKMAN. No matter what you need to trust him. He is your key to survival, if he dies you will soon die. You can rely on him to tell you where the enemy is, protect you, and keep track of ad/crawl counts. Also in certain backman/frontman retationships he can keep you calm and cool and in the right mindset to kill. In other words, the snake guy is nothing without his backman. As far as procedure once in the snake goes, here is my list in order of things I do once I make the key bunker.

1. Listen to hear where the enemy is.
2. take a qick peek to see if I can see anyone(start shooting people inside and work outside)
3. Pop up and shoot my angles. If I didn't see anybody I wait for my backman to tell me that he "has my tape" or that I can "go" and I move to the next knuckle and beam.
4. Then repeat that procedure until you kill the other team or get killed.

As far as physically playing the snake goes my shooting position is this: curl up into a ball with gun pointing at enemy through the snake and then pop upo and shoot them requiring no further aiming and just a quick string of balls.

Good LUck!!
I really don't know anything compared to Brad, Nathanial and Val and Fez and others I can't remember. (They taught me all this) I don't deserve the credit for sure. But ya talk to these guys for more beyond the begginner look on it. (only playing snake for a couple of months.)

Oh ya one more thing...... Just use your brain and have fun.

Also to add to those, when you're walking the field, get in the snake and find out where you can pop up shoot out certain bunkers easily. Then, pick out something so that you remember that spot. Look at the ground and find a mark on the grass/turf, or look to the sideline and pick something out. Then when you're in the snake and your back guy tells you where they're at, you find your mark, pop up and he's gone.

snake back men

If you have a good back man, have him tell you where they are and you pop up and you dont get shot as much. make sure he is loud.
