you should check with tightshocka or allen. I know both of them use ego's and they might be able to help you out.

I have two (hopefully 3 soon) and I've helped most of my friends set theirs up. I've learned that each one is slightly different because of the way the trigger is set and the LRP.

First thing you should do is put a case or two through it before you try to fine tune anything. They just seem to work better if you break them in.

After you break it in, I suggest the following:

Adjust your LPR. Most people like to run their LPR about 1.5 to 2 turns below flush. You may have to bring your dwell up from 8 to 10 if you take the LRP below flush. You will know if you need to change the dwell if you have real inconsistant velocity.

For the trigger, set the trigger the way you like it then give yourself about a half hour to an hour. Stick it in training mode, and sit there and find your settings. Move your filters up and down untill you get the bounce where you want it.

Have plenty of detents on hand. They will last a while, but when the detents fail, they fail all the way and generally you will have serious shooting problems.

Make sure your lube the LPR and HPR fairly regularly. Just about anything works, oil, dow, etc. Also you can put oil right into the ASA and blow it through. Eclipse encourgages a little oil through the system. Generally I oil the LPR and use Dow on the HPR. That's just preference.

The only upgrade I've done to any of mine is the STAR trigger, just liked the feel of it better. They really don't need much of anything else.

That's about it. Not much else you really should do to it.

yeah, the problem is getting the bounce out of it. I have tried people's "Special" and "legal" settings, but it still takes off. I just need to sit down with it and be patient as I set it up I guess.

Several of us on Millennium Factory and the crew up here run Ego's.
We can help if you want. I dont think there are any "Magic" settings, each gun has a slightly different personality and were you set the mechanics of the trigger makes a big difference.

After the mechanical part then you can mess with the software. The TT and Band settings are a bit counter intuitive, honestly I just left mine at stock and I am fairly happy with it. But some of the setup's have shifted the filters around, but it has to be set with your trigger and your likes on how to pull. IMO its not one size fits all gun.

I can also contact the Eclpise Techs if we need additional support.

Which software version do you have ?

The current version for software is 1.06 I believe.

You may want to consider having the software upgraded. I will be sending my personal Ego in for the upgrade in the next couple weeks.

after watching some of the guys with ego's while i was reffing the battlegrounds tourney, i'm not too impressed with them. one team had two of their three guns go down, and both of them were ego's.
