No problem... I love good discussions! 😁 The interview is a good example of part of the problem. Different people in the NPPL with different authority have said different things and not just on the rocking trigger. At different times the NPPL staff has stated different positions on an issue and the NPPL has ended up contradicting itself. They have gotten better on funneling information through one or two sources but they continue to have some problems. The rocker trigger is really fuzzy and the NPPL hasn't directly addressed it. Personally I believe that they don't address because they don't see too many Spyders with rocking triggers at their events at this time and it doesn't make any issue for them. I know it's not a clear answer and I wish I could give you a better one. Scan forums, talk to NPPL players (current and former), and contact NPPL judges. You will find that playing in the NPPL is not as cut and dry as the rules indicate. Each event runs a little differently and each ref crew runs a little differently. Bottom line is just be careful. Get an official word on anything questionable and document who made the call for you before you hit a specific event so that you don't get nasty surprises. __________________

Good news for those with rocking triggers.
We emailed the Ultimate Ref of the NPPL and he indicated that the rocking triggers will be legal in the NPPL. Under the rules, the user must meet a few requirements: 1. The springs on the rocking triger must be balanced. 2. The trigger can not shoot more than one shot per pull. 3. The marker must not have the runaway shots behavior that is commonly seen on the rocking triggers. All other trigger rules will apply. I suggest that if you are taking a rocking trigger to an event that is operating under the NPPL rules that you make sure you have a ruling from the event authority before you begin playing. This is a fairly new decision and not all the judges will have been informed yet. Based on this ruling, I don't see a problem with allowing the rocking triggers for the next UXPL event. __________________

for those of you with rockers good luck in finding the balance on the springs and stopping the runaways. One of my front men has a spyder rocker and we have been working on getting rid of the "sweet spot" and have had no luck to this point, these triggers bounce like mad and although I love shooting his marker from a presonal stand I would not allow it to be used in an event.
