Paintball in the News

That's great Allen, way to promote the sport. Maybe next time we could get ahold of one of the local channels and try to get them out to do a short video on the tournament.
Thanks for making the sport of paintball what it is here in Utah and for promoting such a great tournament.

expectations

Its great that the sport is getting this kind of exposure, and maybe i'm asking too much or not being thankful.... but did anyone else think that that article was poorly written? There wasnt any flow to the text. Who wrote this? The last line of the article was probably the worst conclusion in media history.

We have all been waiting for this for so long, doesnt anyone else feel slightly disappointed?

i agree with the poor writing on that too. i contacted fox 13, they said that they were going to get in touch with allen but they never did. i even gave them his number down at millennium plus his hours of operation. i also told them about this web sight and the uxpl web sight. anyway i guess it wasn't violent enouph for them to cover, like a gang shooting out side of a bowling alley is south salt lake.

I would have to disagree, in some part, with what you, Judd the studd and justaddwadda, have said. The writing itself seems cohesive and she does do a good job bridging one comment to the other. I don't mean to flame, but Judd the Studd, do you really think you should be talking about the composition of a paper from someone that probaly has a college degree and you don't even know which sight/site to use when talking about a website (web sight for you) 😉

Good press is great! Why knock it? I mean we finally have someone from the media talking us up. Go with it. When we get local papers coming to cover the events, there is a better chance of getting the state wide media outlets coming. I say bravo and lets keep trying to get a TV news channel there.

jayson thanks for the correction on the proper usage of site, i'm a very creative speller. infact that is the only spelling class that i got an "A" in 😁 . don't get me wrong i agree with you on the need for more positive press and all that we can get is awsome. i guess that i'm just a little greedy in the fact that i think the coverage could have been more in depth and i really didn't like the way the artical ended. it just ended and left you hanging, like there was more but it got left out. oh and by the way i am also colledge educated, but like i stated before i have very poor spelling skills and i'm so sorry for missuse of the word sight 😳 🙄 .

All Positive Press is good press for paintball. The ending isn't that strong and could've given some more information about the next tourney, but oh Well. The Utah State paintball club was in the Herald Journal a couple of weeks ago and the article was pretty positive press. I tried finding a link to the Newspaper, but unfortumately you have to pay to link it (I think). As for arguing over the article, the writers are not going to cover the event like faceful would so let the article be and let's keep on trying to get more positive press out there so that the sport of paintball can grow.

MY two cents
