Why Can't Utah have a field like this???

I understand that Utah is not a big paintball particpating sport compared to other states. But I was just wondering why we cannot get a decent indoor field like this one http://www.allamericanpaintballpark.com/ here in the state of Utah. This would def. up the particapation in Paintball and get more people interested in the sport. Why not get local television channels to do a little report on the UXPL when it is going. To help get people out there and understand what paintball really is all about. That's just a idea from me but maybe we could look into it. I personally would be more than happy to call local stations and try and get someone out there to cover the event just to get the publicity. What do you guys think?

Well your in luck. I have heard that you can donate your left nut for something around 10-20,000, I'm sure with that you would be able to help set up a field like this.

The next problem with having a field like this is that its not going to be cheap to operate. It is very expensive to rent a building large enough to operate a field like this. That requires Entry fees and indoor field paint prices. Addicts is close to being that, yet it is small and the lighting isn't the best, although still very enjoyable and have fun everytime i gothere.

I hear there are works in place by a few of the local paintball companies to try and get something like this going. If you want something like this to be able to come to Utah, shop locally only. Tell all the newbies to buy from the paintball shops, not walmart or online shops. As a paintball community if we can do this, this will be one step closer to help the Utah scene grow as a unit. I would love to see the day when we have fields like this in St. George, Cedar City, Nephi, Utah county, Slc county, Ogden, etc. so that whereever one goes, there will be great places to play paintball.

pretty much there are a few of those all around the US. There is that one and there is The Colleseum in St Louis...atomix turf, kickass pro shop, xball buzzer and scoreboard, food, etc etc etc

Its a TON of money to invest in. Not only is the facility expensive, but the Turf and fields are beyond expensive. Given that they have a nice financial helping hand, and a staff of pros like Tim Jenkins and more, they dont make alot of money. Lots of people go there, but the price is soo much for regular play--thats why the sponsored teams get in for cost, causing them to make minimal money. And non tournamnet players dont really go to that facility that often, so its hard to make money.

But i can say when i played at the colleseum is was amazing.

Sweet, now we have two nuts donated.. thats around 20-40,000. Thats a good start on a field. Anymore takers...

If local fields open up like that, that are large how many people would be willing to pay 50 to 60 dollars a case, as well as a minimal entry fee?

Name your price?

Paint price __________ per bag
Paint price ___________per case

Entry Fee __________per day
Entry fee___________per month
Entry fee______________per quarter
Entry Fee_______________per half year
Entry Fee _______________per year

Nice looking field
They want 10-20 Bucks to get in and 50-60 for a case of paint.
That is very reasonable

If you want a field like that you have to support it.
I know how much it costs to set up and run a field and it takes a lot.
If you like addicts or velocity then each one of us has to support
The field or it will like most places ....fold up and die.

Comes down to this if we as a PB comunity want quality PB in UT then invite your newbie friends out for a game or two and see that they have a good time. get involved.... Also we have to support our local fields and vendors. of coures if they offer a crapy product we don't support them. But places like millinum, Addicts, Velocity, UXPL and SPPL . Big games like Aliens in the rockies have to have our support and that means we spend a few bucks.

All in favor say "I"
The "nays" will be shot with frozen paint 😁

Hmmm

Well players would have to be ready to pony up. Its doubtful we have enough players who would pay the entry and paint fees that would be nessisary to support a field of that size and design.

Maybe someday but Utahns couldn't do it yet.

If you read about this field, I beleive it is very affordable for what they offer. Rent a nerve for 40 bucks for the day!!! What Field in Utah allows you to do that, none that I know of. If you want somewhere nice to play your going to have to pay for it, thats common sense. But think about what it could do for paintball in Utah. Possible bring the NPPL here and other big name Tourneys. I think this is something maybe the local paintball shops should get together on and maybe open it not to make MONEY but to promote paintball in Utah.
Also why is there no media coverage at any of the tournaments? I think they should be invited to come and film the UXPL, MWXPL and maybe do a two minute story on the local news channes. Has anyone ever thought about what that might do for paintball? No we just get a crappy article in the Standard about how dangerous it is for us to be out Balling at the river and how we are destroying the enviroment.
We here in Utah who want paintball to go, have some decisions to make and we better get started.

Funding is going to be a big kick in the nuts. You will not make money the first two years at all. First off, the facility will be damn near expensive...not to mention bills, etc. rentals: usually each field has 30 rentals, more or less. You are looking at paying 10 times the amount of money for each gun for those high end guns (nerves, shockers, etc). S
