It comes down to common sense. If you play take your boxes home with you, who's going to empty that 50 gallon barrel? The trash fairy...obviously not.

Keep areas clean. They think paintball is ruining the environment, not that i want to start a war, but I know that many fishers leave garbage, beer cans, bait boxes, jars etc etc all over. That is more harm to the water system (Vital part of life) then paintball could ever do to an area.

I would like to see cities build paintball parks. It would be rather cheep for them todo. Put down a large slab of cement and some turf, a bit of netting and some airball bunkers and wa la a nice paintball field. An area the size of the Skateboard park in North Orem would be nice.

And then remember whereever you play dont shoot signs, equipment, vehicles and other items that aren't for being shot. We want paintball to stay around.

And who will clean up this parks. have you ever taken a look at whats left after a day of paintball at a field. The citys that build these will then be responable for their upkeep and that will cost some tax dollars. You can not just throw up some air bunkers and have them last. There are costs and insurance questions that no city wants to take on. Why not just find a local field that is already going and use it or paintball will disappear in Utah.

Yet they will for skateparks, baseball parks, football, soccer, slides and other crap that cause way more injuries then paintball does.

Baseball, Football etc. can not even be related to paintball. Neither can skateboarding. They are recognized widely as sports, paintball is not. Also basic maintenance required for those sports are minimal, water lawn, mow lawn blow off the skate park. Paintball has extensive maintenance and equipment needed. Also what about the little dumb shits that WILL shoot up pavillions, signs, cars etc. Also there is a risk that bystandars could get hurt, and other sports have leagues that pay insurance. Big headache, I love paintball, but seriously I wouldn't want to deal with all of that. Hats off to those that would.

Baseball and football arent related this way.. but in cheating aspects people say they are....

anyway what about the little kids that bash in mailboxes, car windows with baseball bats, the jocks that cause troubles at highschools etc etc.

Anyway their is always going to be complications with setting up a paintball field, once its set up and done just like mowing a lawn or blowing leaves its just simple stuff. If paintball players had more respect and were able to clean up a bit of their own mess that would show a lot. But look at Addicts, airport, other walk on fields, many people cant carry and empty box out with them.

Respect of facilities and I'm sure more people would be prone to give help to the paintball community.

paint ball

paintball is more like golf with reguard to equiptment needed and on going expences.

GOld requires
Clubs - $500-$1000 or more
Shoes - $50 and up
Clothing - $100 and up
Bag - club covers - tees
on going supply of balls

Green Fees
Cart rental
It can get expensive Just like PB
Also golf course need alot of space so does Woodsball
It takes a lot to keep a Golf course in good shape ...so does a paintball field.
I used to play outlaw ball all the time but then you get a few jerks who ruin it all for the rest. So I quit. I like a well run game or field to play on.

We are lucky we have a local indoor and outdoor venue to play on.
Addicts and Velocity ....We should try to support them so they are not lost. Yes they have an entrance fee and yes they charge for paint
So what as long as it's not out and out rip off, pay the fees and play
I know you get a lot for you 10 bucks a Velocity...refs, restrooms, food venues, and 3 really cool fields to play on. Plus the paint is the same price as in any store and you don't have to be the game orginazer...just go out and play with the players who are there.

So support the local owners they are taking a big risk to provide us a place to play.

My 2 cents

I have learned a lot of interesting things about paintball this past year--the most important of those being how much time, effort, and money it takes to maintain a decent paintball field. So, like someone said earlier "good luck" finding city organizers ready to take on that responsibility.

Velocity is still a growing field and we are learning a lot, but I think 95% of our customers leave the field happy and fulfilled. And I should also say that Velocity WILL continue to grow.

Thanks for your comments pale rider.
