If you read about this field, I beleive it is very affordable for what they offer. Rent a nerve for 40 bucks for the day!!! What Field in Utah allows you to do that, none that I know of. If you want somewhere nice to play your going to have to pay for it, thats common sense. But think about what it could do for paintball in Utah. Possible bring the NPPL here and other big name Tourneys. I think this is something maybe the local paintball shops should get together on and maybe open it not to make MONEY but to promote paintball in Utah.

It all breaks down to population. You need several times more than we have now paying (yes paying) to even atempt to cover the expenses the field would have.

Addicts is the best indoor this state has ever seen, and it still has slow days. As of right now there are not enoug paying regualr customers to open a field like this, no matter how much we want it.

In the mean time a suggest we continue to support the local stores, fields, and Leagues we already have, help them grow so they in turn can help us add players and places to play.

The more people who play, The better off we will all be.

keep in mind that the field is OWNED by Smart Parts. That's why you can rent high end markers inexpensively.
It is also Philly All American's practice field.

Paying customers....thats a novel idea.

Addicts 5 bucks entry and paint is around 65 bucks. Not bad. I play with a case twice so for two times of playing its about 35 a trip there. Not bad.

It would be nice to be able to afford more paint and shoot more. That comes with time. Keep supporting the local shops and when fields open show up and pay and play. T

i've spent this month of july in sunny california. i'll report back to utah about my findings:

i'm staying in Palo Alto, which is kinda in between San Jose and San Fransisco. The closest field I could find, they charge by the "session" not by the day. Its the same type system that places like "laserquest" are using. You have to pay 15 bucks per "session" not per day. People are complaining about the 10 it takes to get into Velocity. Could you imagine paying 15 bucks every 4 hours? Even though we want a large field like the ones in Cali, I dont think it would be very successful. The fields have to adapt their product to the consumer's needs. Utah just isnt ready.

Thanks for the props for us here at Addicts. Derek hit the nail on the head with his comments concerning field support. It all about population and demographics.

We at Addicts have the opportunity to expand our facility from aprx. 32.000 square feet to nearly 56,000 square feet. The additional 24,000 square feet would be all playing field area's. This would allow us 2 to 3 more playing fields indoor. One of the additional fields could be larger than a regulation 10 man field. We also have the opportunity to lease many acres out the back door of the building. This could make us one of the larger paintball parks in the country. But where would the players come from to support a field of this magnitude?

Keep donating nuts guys. Oh and I quess we need to have lots of offspring, maybe someday we could have a world class paintball park?

Take care, and thanks to all of you that support the local stores and fields in your area.

Johns right, the only way we are going to get a large first class field is to support all of the local stores and fields. They are the ones that put on the tourneys, get the new players started and are trying to build paintball in Utah. Every time you spend your money on an item on the internet you are helping someone else get the nice field. Remember loyaltity returns dividends!
