I think my gun looks good, but I have so many timing problems with it all the time!

timing

just cant seem to get the timing set and to stay set.
I keep having hoses blow off my pneumatics, and when I turn down the front reg, the gun wont fire.

what is your pressure set at on your asa reg?? As for the reg in the front, do you have to turn it all the way in for it to fire? Do have the little hose caps that help keep the hoses on the nipples?

cocker

I dont have a gauge on my inline reg so I'm not sure, I dont have to crank the front reg, but to get the bolt to clear the feed tube I have to give it so much pressure that I'm blowing off the hoses, yes I have the little top hats that go over them but they dont seem to be working.

You're telling the truth about it looking tight.
You might want to let Zach at Ballistic take a look at it. Every cocker I've seen him working on has turned out great, just a suggestion.

hmm, have you taken those specific hoses you have now off and on the barbs? they may be stretched out and time to reinvest in some new hoses.

fixed

I think I finally got it fixed, but now my wifes autococker, when the tank hits around 500-700 psi, you hear all the air just drain out of the gun and then the tank goes empty. should I adust my inline reg? front reg?

nothing to worry about. . .its just the way her springs are set-up. once it hits that 500-700 i am betting the ram has enough pressure to cock the gun, leaving the spring tension of the hammer against the valve (in your case the hammer spring is harder i.e. stronger than the valve spring, this leaving an airway for the air to drain out of).

It also may be that your wifes gun is set between 500-700 PSI and so when it goes below that there isn't enough pressure in the tank to operate the gun and recock the gun.
