Do I think it would be possible? yes, and no. Bigger tournamnets could enforce this with chronos that check BPS. No, because smaller tournaments, will probally have trouble financing like 8 of these for the refs.

im gonna tell you what chris and adren told me. If you put a cap on the bps its like saying, k guys we are going to go out and race but you no corvettes, no lamberginies, no vipers etc. so basicly you are going to be driving down the road at 60 mph in station wagons. oooo thats fun

It would be better because tournament logistics are quickly outstripping what small teams can pay and still be competitive.

I think you will end up with a cap but i think it will be around 18

I don't normally argue points made by Chris, but on this one I am. If we were to compare this to auto racing, it would be like the restrictor plates that they put on the Winston Cup cars. It makes the race safer, and much more competetive. The same would be applied to paintball. Its gonna make it a hella lot more competitive, and its going to bring the safety margin of the sport back into perspective.

I agree that this 13 bps, is low, and I do agree that this prolly won't stand if they in fact do something like this. I am sure they will come to an agreement some where between 13 and 20 if I were guessing.

I also think that this would be a good idea for the tourney player with a budget in mind. Sure you can spend 1500+ on a sweet marker, but is that really what a 15 year old guy, with a very limited amount of cash is going to be able to do? If they could spend 500 dollars for a gun that easily shoots say 15bps, then these players could afford to get the paint to practice, and afford the entrance fees for the tournaments.

I am just ranting on here, but I think that the good for the sport as a whole out weighs the bad here. my .02
