XPSL Classification Changes
Just thought I'd share this with everybody. It appears that the XPSL classifications have changed a little bit.
Taken from here:

The NPPL or PSP events that you have played in will now affect your XPSL status.
Quote: 2005 Player Classification &
2005 Team Classification
Player Classification:
Professional (Pro):
A player who was rostered on a 7-player or X-ball/NXL Professional team within the previous 12 months.
Semi-Professional (Semi-Pro):
A player who is rostered on a 7-player or X-ball/NXL Semi-Professional team within the previous 12 months.
Amateur (Div 1):
A player who is not currently rostered on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Professional or Semi-Professional team (See definition of National Level below).
Novice (Div 2):
A player who has not played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro or Am previous to the current tournament. (See definition of National Level below).
Rookie (Div 3):
A player who has not played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro, Am or Novice previous to the current tournament. (See definition of National Level below).
Young Guns:
If you were born on January 1, 1990 or later, then you are young enough to participate in the XPSL Young Guns Division in 2005 (If you were born in 1989 or earlier, you are too old to play in the Young Guns Division in 2005). A player also can not have played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro, Am, Novice or Rookie previous to the current tournament.
Exceptions:
If a player, who had been classified as a Pro, has not been rostered on a Pro team for the last 12 months then they are classified as a Semi-Pro. If a player, who had been classified as a Semi-Pro, has not been rostered on a Semi-Pro team for the last 12 months then they are classified as an Amateur. Once you become an Amateur you can not be classified as a Novice or Rookie.
National Level Events:
The following will be considered National Level Tournament Circuits:
NPPL-National Professional Paintball League
PSP/NXL-Paintball Sports Promotions / National X-ball League
XPSL/EXP-Xtreme Paintball Sports League / Eastern Xtreme Paintball Series
(XPSL staff reserves the right to classify tournaments as National level or not)
Team Classification:
XPSL events separate teams into four divisions: Young Guns, Rookie (Div 3), Novice (Div 2) and Amateur (Div 1). Young Guns teams must have only Young Guns players, A Rookie 7-player team may have 2 Novice players on their roster. A Novice 7-player team may have only two Amateur players their roster. An Amateur 7-player team may have only two Semi-Pro players on their roster or only one Pro player.
Rosters:
A player may not be on more than one roster per event, and a player cannot change rosters during an event. Reserve players should be left off rosters until they are needed. Players may be added to a team’s roster at any time during an event as long as the added player(s) reports to the XPSL staff at the scoring table before participating in a game. There is no limit to the number of players on a roster.
Rosters and waivers must be filled out (legibly and completely) and handed in to XPSL staff at the scoring table before playing your first game. Failure to turn in or update your roster and waivers will result in zero points for all games played before the roster and waivers are corrected or turned in to XPSL staff.
IPPI tournament ID cards are required for all participating players including Young Guns. Young Guns must bring a copy of their birth certificate to verify their age.
