Need help on a marker for my bro

Ok Im looking to spend around $500-600 on a marker and a compressed air tank for my brother. Hes in his 30s and has played paintball plenty of times but never really got into because he never had the time or a high end marker. I know $500-600 isnt a high end but I want him to have something thats entry level for tourney play, a full setup so all he has to buy is a hopper and goggles and something he'll be able to notice the performance compaired to rentals or cheap $150 marker. Something that can always be upgraded later but will be great for him to build his skill and play tourneys with. I know I started with a spyder and eventually got a 04 Autococker and thats when the tables turned for me. Any ideas?

used etek ego, used/new invert mini. both offer tournament level performance within your price range.

I would like to buy new just because hes never had a new marker. And can you link me anything? The tank Im not too worried about it being huge just compressed air so I can steer him away from co2.

So far Im looking at the Smart Parts Eos. Only $389 and it seems like a decent marker. Never used one so I have no clue though, only what I've heard. That and a Pure Energy Fixed - 3 Year N2 Tank - 68ci 3000psi for $129

get a dp g3 they are like 400 but they rip and they are nice. That or a used etek or mini.

the smart parts eos is a very nice gun for the money it shoots great out of the box no need to up it. when he wants to make it his own there are hundreds of upgrades for them between barrels trigers grips frames bolts boards and so on and so forth. with the 68 3000 you will get good air efficiance sense it has one of the better after market bolts. i have a friend that will sell you a brand nex in box etek2 for 450-500 i will have to check with him. but my vote is for the eos

get a mini its the sickest gun i have ever shot ask anyone on tombstone they have shot mine and it is insanely smoothe and super air efficent while everyone else on my team fills their tanks 4 times a practice with egos,and shockers i have to only fill it once and im good and it is very very easy to maintain and it just shoots tits.
