Pretty good all in all. If you buy used you can get a better tank and loader for cheaper though. (68/45 and a Vlocity)

And Flex or Grills > Invisions.

But yeah, what you have is fine, and will work very well for you.

What are all the upgrades for a Mini? Obviously in this case a bigger tank at some point, and a new barrel or kit.

And since these dont have the macrolines can you mount drops on them?

mini upgrades

the only upgrade the mini needs is the barrel, my buddy has a cp on his mini and likes it, I have an ultralight and love it. make no mistake there really is a night and day difference with accuracy when you upgrade the barrel. In terms of bolt/board upgrades....they are not necessary once you see just how fast the marker is out of the box. 🙂

upgrades

I would agree the on/off purge would be a nice upgrade to ensure thread integrity on your tank/the asa. Though because the on/off screws into the existing asa(you can not remove the stock asa and mount a traditional on/off) it may create a very "long" setup which may be uncomfortable, consider the asa + on/off + tank reg length. "Guerilla Air" makes a very nice asa for tanks that is only 3/4" long (wheras most tank asa's are around 2" or more in length), my buddy diego has the on/off and w/ the guerilla reg it is comfortable/tight. Though with a stock tank reg I imagine it will be to long for your brother to use comfortably. In my opinion the stock board, bolt, trigger and feedneck (given the feedneck is a bit flimsy and cheap feeling, though when tightened it does the trick) are just fine. TechT makes aftermarket bolts, and made some of the finest aftermarket ion bolts, though if you read their description of their own aftermarket mini bolts they state that invert did a fantastic job on designing the bolt as their early/lighter/thinner/hollowed etc. prototypes did not significantly improve performance (though they still sell bolts so I imagine they found something that offers some imporvement in performance, though once you buy an aftermarket bolt you are going to have mess with the settings, which some people are into, though I like to just turn my marker on and play). Once again the mini rips right out the box, though again the barrel sucks.

Thanks for all the info guys. This will be his first decent marker so I figure I'm going to let him use it stock and upgrade it himself so he can actually notice a difference in performance, but its good to know in the future when he chooses to upgrade.
