NPPL/ XPSL, You decide!!!

Attention all players!!

The XPS has reached a crossroad. We have the honor to be a afillate of the the NPPL,XPSL National Series. This means that 2 out of the 5 events that we hold would be a XPSL 7 man Feeder/Affillate event. Any local teams that would play in these two events would receive an extra 25 points for the year ending prizes in the XPS.Both events would be 100% NPPL RULES, Rookies and Novice teams. For both Feeder events you will have to purchase a players card for $25 that card would cover both feeder events.

Divisions would remain the same but you will be able to have 2 novice players per rookie team, and or 2 open/ AM players for a novice team.

We really need your support in making this decision because the XPS was not created to make money but to give back to all the Utah teams and give them the best Paintball series this state has ever seen.If you feel this would be good for Utah Paintball then please let us know. If not also let us know. THE XPS IS YOUR SERIES !!! IT WILL BE YOUR VOTES WHETHER WE GO FORWARD WITH THE NPPL/XPSL. If you decide not to be a feeder series than the XPS will do the entire 2008 season as a 5 man events.

I say yes, this will draw out of town teams in and give the Utah teams a chace to play a national style turnament. Not to mention we need the 25 points.

Being that there is not a feeder program for the PSP. And that there will be at least 2 XPSL teams in the Salt lake area. I think it would be a better thing to do to affiliate with the XPSL. Make no mistake. Craig does not enter into this lightly. He has weighed the pro's and con's and has let us decide. It would add to the talent pool by bringing more teams to the table as far as competing. Teams that can use the points in XPSL and NPPL standings. I am sure we would see Vegas teams and maybe Idaho.

This may upset some of the local teams. that tend to focus just on XPS or do not have the desire to play outside Utah. But you only can learn from higher level teams.

I applaud XPS and Craig for being forward thinking and affiliating with proven leagues.

IMO a Feeder for XPSL would be awesome. I would bring a bit more competition and it would allow a few 7 man tournaments.
