Sorry Lisa. I just sensed that he feels that he is the best thing that paintball has ever seen and that he will benefit the best team in the state. He has enough balls to say that he will be the best player on the best team, site unseen. Confident to you, Cocky to me. Sorry to iritate you. __________________

Where in his post did he say he would be the best player on ANY team? He simply feels that he will benefit the team...are you going to tell me that you can honestly say that you don't feel that you would benefit whatever team you play for? And what exactly in his post caused you to "sense" anything about him? Much less that he feels like he is the best thing in paintball? Heaven forbid that someone who isn't already a part of the "Elite" little group comes along and tries to fit in or find a place. You guys are the same ones who tell the new players that they suck, just because they don't have all of the high tech equipment you have. You make sure that they have a bad experience so that they aren't stepping on your "turf" and getting in the way of your playing time. If EVERY SINGLE tournament player in Utah took the time to help out a new player....just think how quickly the sport would grow. Not every player is in it just to compete...some actually want to have a good time with their friends, and could not care less whether they ever get on a team or play in a tournament. And I'm not pointing a finger at you alone PCPyroKid, I am pointing it at all of you who have decided that you are better than anyone else--on or off the field. end of rant---again

I am sorry. I do not feel that i am better then everyone else. I am just saying that i feel it to be unwise to make claims like he did. I don't claim to be the best, and i know for a fact that i'm no where near close. I don't call myself 'Good' or anything of the sort. I guess i'm more humble, and I assumed something different than what you did from his statement.
To me he was saying, "I'm so good, The best team in the state will do better with me. But without, they will remain the same." To me it was a very over-confident statement. Again, i don't claim to be the best or even good. So much so that i won't ask to practice with a team or even play with one, i prefer to be invited. Like i said before, i am very humble. I have seen people get themselves in over their heads because of how they ran their mouths. Because of this, i REALLY try to stay out of people's way. I am sorry that i upset you, and i truly wish not to argue. __________________

Personally I think this whole thread is stupid..
If this kid was good enough to play D1 or above you would think someone would have an idea of who he is and he wouldn't need to come on here and stir up shit by phrasing his question the way he did. While I don't fault him for wanting to play for and benefit the "best" team in Utah I do believe him to be either completely uninformed, cocky, or just thinking we don't have any serious or nationally ranked teams here in Utah. Certainly if your going to come on here to make a statement that you want to try out for the best team in Utah I would hope you have the skill and cajones to back it up. I'm not saying he can't aspire to his goal. However, I think he will find he has to earn a reputation as a solid player and gain some respect in the local paintball scene before he is accepted by any of the upper level players. However, I do think some have way too much attitude lately. So many kids seem to have a sense of entitlement and think they are better than everyone else. Ah... If I only had a quarter for every time I have heard someone tell me about how great of paintball player they are! I have seen them come and seen them go... but never get tired of reminding the arrogant little wanna-be's they aren't quite as good as they think they are. Usually by a couple shots up the side their dome. 🙂 Really it comes down to respect. There are a few people here in the Utah Paintball community that have my respect. They have earned it. I'm also sure you won't be surprised to find that most of them are some of the best players in the state or the ones that run the fields and tournaments and make it all possible for us to play or have a place to practice. Funny how they don't usually have attitudes or talk much smack. Plus if they do they usually have a good reason and have earned the right to do so. Some of you could learn a lot about etiquette from them. .. and I'm not even going to get into the best team in Utah thing. Suffice to say I agree with Derek. There are some good players in Utah. Good enough that if they ever got together they could give the top NPPL or PSP teams a run for thier money. Last edited by TurtlesClint : 10-18-2007 at 07:51 PM.

Best team in utah, stupid... everyone has an opinion based on what they hear about tournaments elsewhere and see on the field.
About that post: I honestly dont feel i would benefit dynasty if i got on it, thats all i know. SOmetimes you just show ur skills on the field and not on a forum, we could all use a little humility here. I SUCK, theres my contribution 😉 __________________

u know what im noticing? it seems to me that the newschool ballers are the ones that are having all the problems. people that have been playing forever like clint seem to feel the same way i do about the way the sport is going here in utah. there is so many great people involved in trying to grow the sport( dale ,jongo and lisa , alan, rippen, and the guys form idaho and the people that run the x ball tournys,) that it really sucks that others are working so hard to tear it down( wont metion names). its about time that those that have skills pass them on to the next generation . just in case you havent noticed paintball is getting younger! i say it time to bring utah in to the forfront of the paintball world we have talent and so much potentiol. we could be a force to reacon withif all the cockyness would go away and some respect would take its place. i know some of u dont know who i am and probably think i dont know crap about what im talking about. but for you info ive been around a while and ive seen many teams come and go. and if u ask any of the oldschool ballers im sure they will tell u the more people we get to play this sport the better it will be for all of us. well thats my rant for the night
