Sometimes you just have to take stand. This is one of those times.

We just learned that our friends from Monkey with a Gun and all the other paintball filmmakers have been locked out of center court for filming during the entire Boston event.

The short story is that the NPPL President has cut a deal with Fox to put the event on TV but this deal excludes all of the paintball filmmakers from access to the center court. They can film all the other courts just not the center court. All of you know how important the center court is to a NPPL event. This is the first time in many years that the hard working, dedicated individuals who promote our industry with great paintball films have been locked out of filming on the main field.

This season many of you have noticed that we have greatly reduced our coverage and support of the NPPL series and now we feel that we have to completely end our coverage and support of this series.

Enough is enough.

So to that end we have placed the live broadcast sites, the home page and others on the swear filter and we are also going to close and lock the NPPL forum in a few days.

We hope that you will understand and support this decision and also voice your opinion to the owners and management of the league so perhaps things can be turned around.

As always your continued support is greatly appreciated.

so they are pissed because the president of the NPPL wants to get paintball on T.V. and out to a bigger odiance. nation is now officialy gay.

i agree with the nation. the people that have been giving them promotion with there videos for years and helping the nppl grow all of a sudden arent good enough becuse fox stepped in. think on it this way you support your friend,company,school, whatever for years and somthing bigger comes along and they lock you out. tell me arent you going to be pissed? i know i would. so i say the nppl can go bleep themself. paintball is so worried about becomming mainstream we are lossing our idenity. and its about time someone did somthing

guys it sucks for the dvd companies to not film on center court but it's all about money. Fox has the money and they bought the rights to the NPPL center court footage in Boston. It's a good move for paintball because now it will be shown on TV. You have to understand why the nation was mad but it's just like any other sport. FOX, ABC and CBS all pay lots of money to have exclusive footage rights for sporting activities like football and golf and racing and stuff like that. It's really no different with paintball because it's a proffesional spectator sport now. It sucks cause we will miss alot of pro action from Boston in the next DerDer and MWAG movies but it's just a loss people have to accept.

Yea guys, its jaded to think that the nppl should lock out the major paintball-specialized filmmakers. Remember when we all waited for the next derder to come out, well no more derder and you say that its okay just because fox steps in... i think that onecalorie has it right on.

Since when has anyone put out a GREAT paintball film. I watched one once then I saw a different one and thought it was the same one. Then I watched another one and thought IT was the same one. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!

Paintballs identity sucks and rates just slighlty above crackheads and meth whores on the social ladder. It's an identity you should be happy to be "lossing", a little "mainstream" can do paintball a lot of good!!
