💡 Real X-Ball for 2007

The UXPL has been asked by several teams to run an X-Ball league in addition to our NPPL format events.

Our executive comittiee has been developing a plan and while it is still in development I thought I would release some information to the 801 community and invite feedback.

3-Man Xball (Suggested team size 6-8 players & pit crew)
5 Events total (4 season events + playoffs)
45 Min of total playing time per match
Will play 1 hour every other week for 2 months + playoffs
Play from 8am to 12am Saturdays, Complete Season schedule
Game time example: Ballistic vs. Addicts 8-9, Run vs Desert Edge 9-10, Tombestone vs Turtles 10-11, etc...
Win - Loss recored will determine seeding for Playoffs
Professional Referees who are trained and experienced
Use real PSP rules

Cost estimated at $178 per player for the SEASON !!!!
8 Team Max (Maybe more but it will be capped)

Feedback can be posted here or emailed to

Nice job. sounds very exciting. It looks like the UXPL is definitely getting MUCH better. good job promoting paintball here in UT.

What can I say I don't like cheaters 🙂

most defitently sounds like fun. i personally think if you could get enough people to register for a 5 man, and the field size, and the resources,it would be awesome, but 3 man would still be fun.

Depends on what the players want and paint sponsorship by vendors.
Currently we are negotiating with WGP, Zap (Proball), Diablo (X-ball).

Most Likely it will be a custom Proball or Proball Platinum $45-$55.
It also depends on how teams want to structure the cost, paint can be lower cost but then entry has to go higher, or vice versa.

I understand. Field and resources are good to go.

I have discussed 3 vs 5 at LENGTH with the teams who have played X-Ball. The problem is simple to play 5 man xball you need 2 lines + alternates so thats 12-13 players and outside of Ballistic, Addicts and Tombestone no one has that many comitted players.

However there are lots of teams who can field 6-7 regular players...

Yep. Although i have seen local teams do 6-8 players well on a 5 man xball format, 3 man does accomodate utah teams a little bit better. doing 5 man with 7 people is doable... its just really harsh on the players. especially if their roster is their pit crew.

Yes however those have usually been abreviated format games. A full 45 min of running and gunning might work for you teens but it would kill us old fat guys 😉

I strongly reccomend 6 players minium and 2 full sets of guns / gear for every player.

Some teams may have a hard time meeting the minimum suggested standards but I beleive we can find 8+ teams who are willing to comitt to a serious X-Ball league.
