franky just told me they got 5th, they beat HK and had more seed points than the 4th team that made the finals, harsh.

tombstone made the finals!

Because it was 2 groups in the quarter finals, and this^^^ was their group, only the top 2 from wach group moved on. Faction and Tombstone got the top 2 scores in their group, they did have more points and a higher average than Sin, but Sin was within the top 2 in the other group.

Spanky did make a trip to the hospital in SD. Their 2nd game in the quarters against Faction, the head ref was running after him, Spanky dove into his bunker, and the ref landed with his knees in Spanky's back, it took 2 refs to drag him off the field, and then they didn't stop the game---Tombstone should have been playing for 1st, but the refs decided that him not being able to move on his own wasn't a true safety concern. So instead of stopping the game so that the paremedics could get to him, they hovered over him as he lay on the sidelines--complete BS. Even with about 150 witnesses (it happened on the spectator side of the field) they would not even consider letting them replay the game for a chance to advance.

No broken bones or anything as far as I know, (I wasn't there when he got back from the hospital) but he does have to follow up with his Dr. here. Oh, and the NPPL took full responsibility for all of the medical costs involved.

They ended up 3rd, Addicts Factory ended up 5th, so it was still a great showing for the Utah teams. (tombstone and Addicts had to play each other in the first quarter final game!!!)
