Current team list:

Spanish Fork
Wasatch Academy
Parowan
North Sanpete

There are other schools that are pending meaning I haven't recieved a confirmation that they are for sure in yet, but I've been contacted by teams from Cache county schools and salt lake schools, and I will be recruiting utah county schools, and Mr. Munson from Wasatch academy will be recruiting southern schools. For our first year, we will not be trying to enter the Utah High School Athletics Association, so you DO NOT NEED SCHOOL SUPPORT! This also allows teams to get sponsors, and allows the league to provide prizes.

Well, if you can get this underway this would be cool. I still have a couple of questions though.

1. What is the format? 3 man, 5 man, Xball, NPPL rules?
2. When is a good time to expect this to happen?
3. Any news on field locations?

I sent you another pm BGA

ya, I started a club at bingham high school. Kids that go to bingham it is possible to get a paintball club, you just have to try hard. Last year I actually did the same thing you did but it just died out. If you want any help getting things rooling om me. I can help ref or whatever but what you need to look into is getting some local shops/fields support. call addicts and see if they would be willing to hold these tournaments for you.

Updated team list:

Spanish Fork
Wasatch Academy
Parowan
North Sanpete
Skyview
Lehi
Davis

Format will be 3 man, rules will most likely be modified NPPL. As far as when, we are shooting for late winter or early spring. We would like to start after the addicts winter series, giving teams the option of getting some tournaments in together before the league play starts. I can't give any specifics on field location until some details are worked out. We are aiming to have 10 teams committed, then we plan on running some news articles in the local papers and on websites about the league to get more teams and sponsors.

If you want to help out, we will be having t-shirts made with a logo and a promo ad on it. They will be $5 each, $2 goes into the league fund to help keep costs low for everybody. E-mail orders for shirts to .

Here's another update:

I have secured a field sponsor that will be able to move to a different location each week. Right now the only cost for teams will be paint (fpo) and travel to the event, free air and free field fees!. The downside to this is that the only prize will be a traveling trophy that will go the season winner each year. If teams are willing, we would like to have a small entrance fee each week or a low season fee to provide some prizes. All profits from the t-shirt sales will go towards prizes.

The format is being designed to reduce paint costs and be exciting for players and spectators. Paint cost will be reasonable, and if teams buy practice paint from our provider, paint will be even cheaper.

There will be an open tournament sometime in November that will be playing a similar format to the UHSPL rules, and will be a good chance to learn the format and get some team experience together, and theres a cash prize for the winner. Entrance will be $100/team, 3-man with 5 dressed players allowed.

More info as it comes...

Nice! Ya, me and the boys from SV are playing the UXPL this year and hopefully plan to do the Addicts and then there is a break in there between Addicts and UXPL so this will work out. What's this tournament in November about? The last event for our team is the UXPL on September 16th so we will be up for playing anytime after that. You should send me a PM with info on this upcoming tourny.

We have secured our field sponsor. They have a forum up with the official Utah HSPL subforum. Please register there and read the posts concerning the HSPL and reply accordingly. All new information will be posted there as well as correspondance, and I will continue to update this thread periodically. Format and rules are being finalized.

We will be releasing news articles about the league soon, please get me as much info about your team and we will include as much as info as possible.

Update:

We are finalizing cost right now, but it's looking like a $50/player registration fee which registers you for the whole season (10-12 weeks, 1 tournament each week).

We would really like to get some prize packages. In order to do this we would like to charge $5-$10 per person per week at the event to go into prizes. With 10 teams dressing 5 players each week at $10/player, we are looking at an Ego package for the winning team.

We are also working to get other sponsors, and hopefully provide small prizes each week (free paint for example).

Log on and register at the official UHSPL forum - http://hawgpaint.net/phpBB/index.php
