My apologies GPB'r. This went down last night at the pickup field in Provo. Since it was for my wifes birthday I asked her what she wanted to do. She asked if we could have it just be friends of hers, as this was only her second time and didn't want to have it too crazy.

We had a good time, although the couples part didn't go 100% (we had 3 girls and 5 boys) but it was fun nevertheless.

I will, on the other hand, announce that we are planning a couples night in September. The 15th to be exact. Something like 6:30pm Friday the 15th, till about 8:30 or 9:00pm. It will again be at the pickup field in Provo. We are shooting for having couples, as pushing that angle helps the ladies get the courage to come out if they otherwise wouldn't.

I would love to get in on a couples game. Although I would have to agree for all the guys that are trying to get their wives/girlfriends to come play a girls against guys might not be the best way to introduce them. Mixed teams might give them a little more confidence. Anyway, my husband USED to play but is now more into airsoft but Im sure for something like this I could get him to come out and play with me. Let me know next time you guys get together... sounds like alot of fun!

Deja, anything we can do to help bring him back from the darkside 😁

Ryan, if she's never played before this would be a great time.

After two games sporting the DM5 I put it down and used the phantom, as my goal was not kicking everyones butt, but instead having a fun time for all. After it acted up I used the DM again, but dialed down my play (played back support and got the newer players to move and attack).

We ended the day playing 10ball... what is 10ball you ask?

Each person, no matter what gun or skill level, gets 10 shots. Each person takes 10 balls on the field, and you're not allowed to pick up paintballs (honor system I guess). This is tons of fun, and teaches great lessons on angles and aiming.

Put 9/15/6 on your calender and plan on coming down to the pickup field with your significant other.

I'm guessing that the couples game will be at the airport, sence the puckup field is getting moved. Right?

At any rate I would like to say the wife and I will be there. But I should run it through her first:rolleyes: .

Yup, airport is the new pickup field (I guess it was going to be next season anyway, our little mini typhoon just sped up plans).

So we are still planning on Sept 15th for an evening couples night.

This is still on.

Friday the 15th, airport pickup field around 6:30ish.

Great way to introduce your significant other to playing. Most of the group I have got together are first timers or nearly there, and will be shooting spyders or tippys, so please don't expect serious tourny ball. This is for fun and to get the other half's playing. If you are ahead of the learning curve, it's a good chance to break out the pump and handicap yourself (last time I played two games with the dm5, then switched to the phantom).

Come out and have some fun on the 15th.
