The Paintball Shop, INC., buys Ballistic Paintball

(Cedar City, Utah. 09-01-2006) The Paintball Shop (TPS) INC., is pleased to announce the purchase of Ballistic Paintball Supply, INC., today. This purchase adds another retail location to the Aardvark Paintball retail pro-shop chain, owned by TPS. “This has made for a busy week, we are in the process of moving to a new 2200 square foot store in Cedar City as well as taking over the operations of Ballistic.” Jasen Chandler, President of TPS said, “The transition from the Ballistic name to the Aardvark name will not be immediate, we recognize the strength of the Aardvark brand but want to do this the right way.”

Ballistic Paintball was opened 3 years ago by Kevin Sorensen, his wife Pam and his son Nich. Ballistic is best known for its great selection, professional service, convenient location and sponsored teams who consistently win local and regional events. The Ballistic pro-shop is located at: 8621 S. Highland Dr. (2000 East) in Sandy.

“We welcome the addition of this store to the Aardvark family”, Chandler said, “The location, selection and level of service our customers are used to will only get better.” TPS, Inc., operates retail stores in St. George and Cedar City as well as the Mountain West Extreme Paintball League, regional tournament series. “Finding a good home for something you’ve worked so hard to build is difficult,” Kevin Sorensen said, “Chandler and his crew will continue to provide top notch service and products to Utah paintballers”.

Sorensen will continue to organize and operate the Ballistic Paintball teams as they finish the 2006 season and prepare for the 2007 season. Players and teams interested in playing with Ballistic should contact Kevin directly.

Tournament paintball or speedball is played on a 150x200 foot field made up of inflatable or fixed obstacles or bunkers. Teams composed of seven members attempt to capture the flag at the opposite end of the field in under seven minutes. Points are rewarded for the eliminating an opponent by marking them with a paintball and for capturing and hanging the flag.

The Paintball Shop, INC is the parent company of Aardvark Paintball, southern Utah’s leading paintball retailer. With two Southern Utah locations, Aardvark Paintball provides full support for all aspects the game. Jasen Chandler President of TPS said, “We play this game. Everyone who has anything to do with TPS plays paintball and has for some time. Our goal is to provide the best service, best pricing and best experience for anyone who is curious about paintball.” Aardvark Paintball hosts weekly games in both Cedar City and St. George. Congrats.... Keep up the good work, I loved the tourney I came down to in cedar/st george a couple years back. Hope to see some like that up here. Small tournies are great.
