wow

You are a GREAT parent, you actually support your kids in paintball, my parents dont, I guess if my parents paid for everything, I would want the trophy. Till then.......................

You know i understand how much a tournament cost to play in as i have played for a few teams. I am also on Ballistic DiVeRsIty and one of the founders of it, and can say that in the first event we went through 16+ cases of paint to win 3rd and 3 cases of paint (Now thats nice that we did get some of our paint back) however a trophy would of been alot nicer, even if it was just 1 for the whole team to share. I can say that eveyone that is apart of DiVeRsItY feels this way. We play hard all day and put our heart and soul into it and when your done the empty cases get thrown away but a trophy last forever. Even a medal would be cool. I also understand the whole trying for a big grand prize but isnt that what almost every tournament series try to do? NPPL, PSP, XPSL, UXPL, MWXPL. Im not complaining im just saying i agree with "justaspectator". Everything you have said is well put.

But it is also nice to have a great winter league to play in as well. So sometimes we just take what we have and then it will motivate us to win the GRAND PRIZE!!!

But you also have to realize that we charge $100 for entry, NPPL and PSP are over $2000 per event, XPSL over $1000, and UXPL and MWXPL are $300-$500. We could charge more and provide trophies, but then you would be unhappy with that!

As I said before, no one had a problem with this when we announced it, so why now?

All along we have been told that you guys were considering having medals for the winners. So all im saying is that even A medal for the teams would be nice.

This is what my original post regarding prizes said

"We will be giving away prizes at each of the 4 events, but the grand prizes as well as the trophies will go to the Series winners."

So I'm not sure where anyone was confused. It has never been implied that it would be any different from this.

My hopes would be that everyone would just be happy that there are people at addicts that are trying to provide a nice tournament for Utah ballers (especially during a time of season when we wouldnt have any tournaments otherwise).

I guess I see paintball a little differently then others. Although I think prizes are nice- I personally just like to play. Hence the reason the PSP at Velocity will be VERY affordable. We want the teams to get medals and trophies, but we think the biggest prize is being able to play in a local tournament and have it very affordable and fun. We are working on getting some nice prizes with sponsors and such, but we ultimately hope it is not the underlying reason everyone wants to play in the tournament.

Anyways, whether right or wrong its just my opinion... Everyone just try to be happy with what is being offered. It takes a lot of time and effort to put on a quality tournament- addicts should be commended regardless of what prizes are being offered. 😉

I have been around paintball for sometime now and have to tell you that this is a great event. I have heard nothing but great things about the events and players cant wait for the next one. It would seem to me that they told everybody about the prize package before the events started so thier would be no surprizes. Trophys and medals are nice I have kids that have played alot of sports and have had some of the best trophys the you can get but this is a sport that dose not get much outside support like pee-wee football or baseball. By this I mean the jiffy lubes, local fast food joints or corporations with big money. So I dont blame the promoters of the event for the lack of medals or trophys, this is a sport that dose not have a great profit line. This sport makes its money on a national level not a local level. So with that been said great job to the owners of Addicts and ref's of the events. Oh and I also spend alot of money on paintball for myself and my kids. So support local paintball so it will be around for a long time.
