Utah Extreme Paintball League granted feeder status by the National Professional Paintball League

(Layton, Utah. 01/31/2006) — The Utah Extreme Paintball League (UXPL) is pleased to announce the National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) has granted feeder status to the UXPL beginning with the 2006 season.

By becoming an NPPL Feeder Event, the UXPL will be able to give players in Utah and the surrounding regions the unique opportunity to prepare for participation in the NPPL and other NPPL Feeder Events. The UXPL will have access to resources owned by the NPPL and granted to NPPL Feeder Events. Players participating in the UXPL will have access to online utilities that will allow the players to manager their personal classifications, manage team issues and register their teams for an event. By participating in the UXPL players and teams will become eligible to earn Feeder participation points that may be used in the NPPL for activities such as early event registration.

All players participating in the UXPL will be tracked in the NPPL player database, allowing the player to be properly classified at any NPPL affiliated event they participate in. Becoming an NPPL Feeder Event “is a great opportunity for the UXPL and its players to prepare for play on a national scale.” said Allen Turner, Promoter UXPL, “Utah, Idaho and Wyoming have some skilled players but we lack a good showcase for those players. Being an NPPL Feeder will bring recognition to our local players who deserve it and help them move on the next level.”

The first UXPL event of the 2006 season is scheduled for May 13th, 2006. The UXPL will be offering play to players who qualify for Division IV, Division V, Division VI and Open Class play.

The Utah Extreme Paintball League was formed in 2003 by local paintball promoters, players and cooperating governmental organizations to provide a venue for players to experience the excitement of tournament play at a reasonable cost. The UXPL works with local cities and counties to provide a high quality paintball tournament experience to players of all skill levels and ages. If you are interested in getting the UXPL in your city call Allen Turner at 801-544-9844.

Thanks for getting this out Cory.

I have also made some updates to the UXPL website while our new webdesigner finishes the new site.
