It's unfortunate that something like this happened regardless of how accurate either side of the story is. But I think it serves as a good reminder to all of us of how we should act during tournaments when we are representing our team, sponors, state, family, etc.

Yeah this isn't really a big deal. Welcome to the world of competitive sports where this kind of stuff happens. Pretty dissapointed that Derek took it upon himself to slam some kids for something they've already been reemed about. Hope you feel better about yourself and your field now Derek. 🙄

Audiomaster i have no problem with who i am. I don't hide behind a screen name. Everyone knows who i am and, is able to tell me what they think of me good and bad and ill be happy to discuss it.I am one of the few who will voice their opinion. It may be wrong, but its my right just as it is yours, so please realize i don't care what you think, about me or my field. Im not sure why you think thats gonna insult me.

I think its a bad image and i said so. If you don't like it write to paintball.com and get it changed. Or if you have no balls, keep getting mad at me, personally i think it should be talked about so future players can learn form others mistakes. How do i know if they were reamed and why should it be a secret if its not a big deal?

Sadly to many of you are ready to accept this type of behavior as the norm in paintball when its not. This was the first time i heard the whole story and i was truly disgusted. Two suppliers have asked me if i know these guys and i was embarressed to say yes.

Maybe the story is different than the one written, but thats hows its written so please either write to them, or accept the fact that people are going to read that not believe you and think it was a bad thing.

I personally believe Lisa. The article wasn't very well written, and the writer seemed like he had second hand information just from the way he wrote the article (thats what it seemed like to tme at least). Lisa is also way cool, and I don't think she'd lie about this. I agree Breakout probably shouldn't have done that, but I do admit I swore at some refs a lot because of dumb calls, and you can go crazy on the field sometimes. Also Derek when you post stuff like this MAYBE you could talk to them and get both sides of the story first. When I talk crap on people I'm usually there taking pictures to prove the crap I'm talking, and know the story. Just a thought. I still respect you, Breakout and Addicts, but all this crap talking is making me lose respect for you more and more

I will stick my gun under your mask and ramp on your face for a few seconds to disorient you, then I will proceed to tank whip you in the nuts repetitively until you pass out in the middle of the field so I can wear you on my back like a buffalo hide and sneak behind the rest of your team.
What can I say I don't like cheaters 🙂

Everyone believes Lisa, why wouldn't they, she is a great lady and an honest lady. The thing that is upsetting is that Paintball.com just went ahead and wrote this article without the right facts. Made the XPSL look bad when it really wasn't that bad.

Skip the Ad homem Derek. While I enjoyed oration about your self confidence it is irrelevant to the discussion and in no way makes up for you attacking someone you should be supporting.

As much as you'd like to think there is some conspiracy or big secret there wasn't. My intention wasn't to insult you so I'm glad you weren't insulted.

Further you keep saying that we all should write paintball.com, why? We don't care about the article it's not nearly as distrubings as you full on attacking someone before knowing the details of what happened.
You may not care what I think but you should, you should car about what everyone thinks. At the end of the day it is your customers and peers in paintball that keep your field open, what they think is important. What you say and do reflects directly on you and your buisness. Fact finding is much more important than spinning the rumor mill. If you knew all the details of the event or you were there personally you wouldnt' have to be embarrased when your vendors asked if you knew who they were. Breakout is a great team. They have performed well at several events this is no small accomplishment. Especially for their age and mentality. Recognizing greatness and promoting positivity will take you way further than murmering or rumor mongering.

You are wrong if you think that type of behavior isn't the norm in paintball. Cheating is rampant in the sport. I see it in every level of play. I was at every NPPL event last year with the exception of Miami and there was all kinds of activities similar to this. I won't even bring up what Salm did a couple of years ago . . . if by your statement you were inferring that this type of behavior shouldn't be tolerated I agree. Many hours go into training referees and creating rules to make events better.

i was replying your comment on how i felt about this. If its irrelevant...then i suggest you don't post your ponder. 🙄 😁 If you make a comment you will get a reply, if you don't like it try not to make such retarded statements.

People that don't think this is a big deal, and accept it as the norm are people i don't want at my field. That is the first mistake the second is thinking that they keep me open. I don't want that type of behavior near my field. 🙄 The players i have are good, honest and nice guys. So no i still don't care what you or my "peers" think.

I do my field because i want to,the way i think paintball should be played, It is paid out of my pocket, and as most owners learn its not the tournament players that bring the money in, its the rec ball players and even then show me a rich field owner who made his money in paintball. We do it cause we want to not because we have to. So please save the Business advice until you actually have a clue about what your talking about.
You place to much of an emphasis on your personal value at a field. Safety by far out ranks you.
If i was in it for the money then maybe my attitude might be different, as it stands it is not, i will always choose safety over friendship...and would not hesitate to ban players that did this sort of thing regardless of how much money they brought in. I refuse to be held hostage by players who don't understand the ramifications of there behavior, and the people who try to cover for them.

Now back to the subject... 🙄
If you remeber Salm was banned for life and later reduced, in My opinion this was even worse as it put spectators at risk.

Safety should always come first, and i will be the first to pipe up and say shooting into the crowd is a big deal, and should be talked about with the harshes consquenses due to all the young players that idolize these players. This type of behavior should never be accepted, regardless if it was a joke or not.

Call it trash talking if you like, i disagree with you. I believe paintball.com and the other places i have heard it from over you guys (several memebers of that group). It needed to be brought to light, it was wrong. Maybe it is true, maybe it isn't, but the damage is done, and should not be hidden.
It is a big deal and should be treated as such.

wtf

Only a handful of people will ever read this thread. Thousands will read what was written on paintball.com, so even if what Breakout Kids did was not as bad as we thought, they still fucked up because now everyone who read the article on paintball.com hates the team.

It does not matter why the kid cheated, he still cheated. If they really think that its hilarious to shoot at spectators and disregard rules of the game, then the kidss who play for Breakout Kids are hurting the sport.
