Paint

We have had inquires as to what kinds, prices, etc., for next years paint.
Over the last year we have tested samples of various paints. A few are good, some are better, and some are downright bad!
What is really important is how they will effect the grass at Velocity and their clean-up problems. This is why we have a problem trying to maintain a certain amount of BYOP at Velocity.
The bad paints are coming as fast as any good ones come along. The dyes on some of the bad paints, as well as some of the good paints does not wear down very fast. This could eventually become a problem with the EPA people. Many vendors just want to sell their paint without regard to any consequences.
Some of the heavy fill paints are a problem on the grass. Their slow dissolving process can burn the grass quickly during the summer.
The bottom end is to use the paints that are the most compatible with our intentions and have the ability to monitor the paints. This does not mean no more BYOP at Velocity, but we have to be careful on what is used. We will have a better handle on paint prices after the first of the new year. We are negotiating with other shops and fields to secure bulk shipments and to maintain a good grade of tournament paint at a good price.
Thanks

💡

What paintball is most environmentally friendly?
This sounds like it would make a great science project for school 😉 . Hint hint... nudge nudge.
Where are our students?
