I agree I have a desing for a field I call "Black Hawk Down" if I can every secure property. Have you ever looked at Challange Park, if not check it out. Particualrily Bedlam Field.

Almost worth going to Chicago to play in the Shatner game for me and my $175 bucks. Almost... 🙂

I actually have heard of Challange Park in Jolet Il.. I used to live in S. Wisconsin, and then later west Chicago area... Had some friends that I played with often, but we never made the drive to Jolet.

But yeah...the small city that they have is really a great setting...

I think one more thing Id want on my city block field would be actual working street lights... so when playing at night you have lighted and shadow areas..not just total darkness...

B

P.S. And sweeping search lights!

One more thing I think I would have to add to my city field... on the roofs of the taller bldg's on the edges of the blocks.. and also on the roofs of the taller bldg's inside the blocks I would place high-pressure rotating sprinkler heads that would shower down 80* water... for those night games that need to have sim rain! And in some of the bldg's Id have large concert speakers that could play thunder clap sounds, along with some high-output strobe ligts for the lightening effect.

B

Oh what the hell.. we would need to have some fixed repel ropes as well.. so we can do S.W.A.T. style entry on some bldg's.... what else? Hmm....
Allen... what do you say we just "BUY" Brigham City? No one will really miss it I dont think!

Labrynth

A labrynth, not made of stuff you can see through like corn or something......but like wood or sheet rock and crap like that. and the very center of the labrynth is the flag. and the flag is up in a sniper tower like thing so you're above everyone. You could even have like 4 teams going at one time

i like the tower in the middle idea, but if you could put that on an airball field, with a lot of standups and large sized bunkers in the back, and the closer you get to the tower the more open the lanes are, and the bunkers get smaller. that way youd need fast fingered back players and insanely good front players. it would bring out everyones skills to the fullest, except mid players.... oh well

Brigham? why not the crappy little town i live in called Bear River City. now theres a place that no one would miss. only about 15 min away from brigham. but it would be cool to setup a "warzone" in brigham, even though im not into the whole recball scene, still would be fun.

I like the fan idea. But they would be very powerfull fans set up at strategic locations to change the path of the balls when the kicked on. Sevral fans set to turn on and off at intervals so the "Jet streams" on the field changed avery so often. But not randomly. Maybe have 2 or 3 variations so players could learn to use them to their advantage.

I also like the Labrynth. Have several insertion points (1 for each team)in the maze that all have to go through several junction points to get to the center to get the Flag. Once you pulll the flag it trips a lever and 3/4 of the walls sink into the ground or slide into each other.

Realisticly though, Id have to say any sort of ghost town, high rise, suburbia settings would be great.
A nice WWI type of field with lots of pillboxes and trenches.

How about something along the lines of the Castle Conquest from the EMR people, looks like it would be a rather hefty challenge..

I just got done viewing there preview vid from the DVD they produced. Looks like a hoot.. Maybe not as fun as Aliens, but a challenge none the less...
