Why? Would it be more likely to explode on a paintball gun where no flames are involved, or a gas grill, lantern, etc?

I'm sure they have done extensive amounts of testing and such. Tippmann always builds great guns, I may pick up one as i had one of their first pumps the sl68 II. Great guns.

I must admit that I was kinda leary when I first heard about it, but now that i've looked into it a little, it seems like a great idea.

if you can get 50k shots from one 16oz tank, thats 3,125 shots per oz, or about 1300 shots for 12 grams.

that would be -THE- perfect fuel for a pistol.

Frankly, I hope it revolutionizes the game. No more bulky HPA tanks, no more finiky CO2. I can't wait for an A-5 equivilant.

how do you guys figure it will explode. no fumes come out the barrel, its not propelled by the fuel itself, but by the exhaust of a small combustion inside the gun. they have a small spark plug that ignites a miniscule amount of gas, and the exhaust from that will push the ball out. and the propane is at so low pressures that you wont have to risk blowing macro, etc...

propane is 100 psi about in a full tank. its not gonna blow up, its perfectly safe, and an interesting idea.

some of you seem to be confused the way the gun works is the propane is let in to a chamber wher it is the IGNITED to probell the ball foward, or at least this is my understaning of the gun, so yes it does seem possible that i could explode on someone. not only that the barrel is made of a composite material because the barrel get quit hot when it is fired fast (as fast as a pump can go)

It is rated at 4bps I don't think it will get too hot. Also to get 50000 shots it must be using a very small amount of propane. A simi version would be great. They also have the user manual up on their web site.
