Anyone playing psp xball next year? Would like to play so if any psp teams need an extra player that would be cool...

The rumor is thta the Psp is dead and will be absorbed by the nppl next year. So other than the nxl im not sure what would be available to play.

The NXL isn't dying, it is already dead. The PSP is trying desperately to save the NXL though, they recently announced that will allow the NXL matches to be video-taped. Since the TV deal for the NXL never went through, the teams that play in it haven't gotten any exposure, to the point that attendance at the Open x-ball matches (dynasty, xsv, naughty dogs et cetera) has trippled the attendance at NXL matches.
I wouldn't be surprised if the PSP was absorbed by the NPPL, I just personally hope that x-ball doesn't go away. Luckily, x-ball registration in the lower PSP divisions was at an all time high this season, that shows there is still a high-level of interest in the format.
This may piss some people off, but I feel that the x-ball format is the one format that makes paintball a truly athletic event. Playing x-ball when you are out of shape will knock you on your ass! (trust me, I've done it).

Ya I think that X-ball is going to be here to stay and soon that is going to be the prefered format for all paintball. Just like how 10 man was the way for a while and it now is 7-man, I wouldnt be suprised if 5-man X-ball is seen in the NPPL in the next few years.

xball is deffinately the most physically demanding format by far. They need to keep it. its more spectator friendly and i think the strategy is more interesting. i really think we need a local xball league here.

i really dont care if psp falls apart, i just want xball to stay around. I think xball is the most entertaining to watch and its easy for non paintball players to follow along with the score.

Hmmm

As fun as it is i don't think the locals around here could support an entire league...but then again i could be wrong.

one thing i like about xball is the better team wins. There are no fluke games because its a bunch of games played in two 16 minute halves. So the better team will win more instead of a 1 game f-up.
