X-Ball

Last weekend we had a few individuals ask about the tournament status of the "New" Velocity airball fields next year. The decision we make are dependent on the response we get through e-mails, the forums, and our Advisory Board. During the next month or two, we will be conducting mtgs. dealing expressly with next years format for the fields. We have had many tournament players express their views on X-Ball play. But, the final analysis will come down to player commitment. Soon, a survey will be needed to help determine the players and their commitment to play and support a given tournament, and it could very well be X-Ball! Keep the comments going......

if u want committ ment you could always just have like the entire years entry be paid at the begining. The uxpl did it and turn out stayed strong...and with the much expressed desire for xball im sure it wouldnt be hard at all to get the entire years entry up front, makes things less complicated too.

Thanks Morphine...
It would definitely be necessary to do the annual fee.

morphine aka gayboy dan has a good point. If you start to take surveys and polls whether or not people are willing to go for Xball, half of the poeple that are going to say "yes" arent going to end up playing because of money issues. If you get the annual fee at the beggining, the teams that entered pretty much are going to complete the season.

Velocity,

The annual fee is a great idea! However, if it is too expensive, you may lose a lot of your audience.

I think if you make it clear that you will be making x-ball affordable (via-limited pod format that I suggested on this forum), you will get an extreme amount of interest.

Also, the classification system you are going to use and how many of each division you will let "play down" will be essential, and must be made VERY CLEAR before the season begins.

All in all, if people feel that x-ball is affordable and fair then they will play. It is easily the most dynamic format the game has ever seen!
