i saw something in a magazine where they had a huge feild, and three teams played on it and there were somethin like 15 flags scattered about the feild, different ones worth different amount of points with the middle one being the most valuable...just an idea for the different format thing...

Top Gun

The Velocity Advisory Board has put their initial stamp of approval on a "Top Gun" Tournament this next spring. The rules and final format have yet to be worked out, but if successful, the tournament can be held each year. This tournament will be a one on one timed contest, over three different venues at Velocity: 1) Airball; 2) Urban Town; 3) TBA - either the Riverside area or the island.
We always hear talk about how good a player is. This tournament will separate the talkers from the good players. There will be top prizes, trophys, recognition, and we are disscussing different marker and age divisions.
As we have more information, we will pass that on to you.

👍 tourney ball

I think the format isn't as big a deal as trying to contain the cost. Tourney guys will play anything. If you can lower the cost but still make a profit, you'll get more players period. Especially more yg players who rely on their parents to help pay for playing in tourneys

Velocity will always try and hold the costs down. Remember, management at Velocity relies a lot on the experience of the Advisory Board in making decisions on format, costs, etc. This was one reason for the "Top Gun Tournament" next year. Gives anyone/everyone a chance to play and the costs will not empty the pocketbooks...
