Next Year UXPL Ahoy.
With the success of the tournament series this year, are you going to be putting on more stuff. Like I think 1 or 2 XPSL affiliates would be awesome so that teams from utah playing XPSL can get points. With Rick leaving I am thinking that the MWXPL will not be around, not sure on this one though. UXPL did great this year and it would be awesome to see affiliates next year. Just a thought

Thanks. XPSL affilates and 7-man events are one of the things that the UXPL executive board will be discussing. There are many possibilities.
As of today Sept 26, 2005. I dont know what next year will hold. I dont know if I will be in a position to run UXPL's or not. We are looking at all the possible options and we appreciate suggestions.. __________________

if he wants to expand he needs to go 7man, have an am, nov, rookie divisions with ippi cards, and go by xpsl rules none of this youve played 2 years your a nov or am. Have paint vendors come for cheaper paint? maybe do xpsl affiliates?

I have posted my thoughts on this previously you may want to read the older posts on this subject.
Actually there is a UXPL Open division right now, however the Open division teams choose not to play with us, not the other way around. The UXPL is looking at becoming an NPPL feeder, as such the old XPSL classifications of Rookie, Nov, Am wiill no longer apply. The old IPPI is being replaced with the new NPPL database. Actually that is happening now since XPSL is becoming more integrated into the NPPL. Those of you who only understand XPSL classificaions (Rok, Nov, Am) need to learn about NPPL classifications becuase that is where the XPSL is headed. It has nothing to do with "How long" you have played any more, in fact that has not mattered for 2005. Many of you fail to understand that the OLD classification system is changing. Historically XPSL did not care what NPPL ranking was, however that is all chaning. The NPPL is becoming a national sanctioning body for the entire paintball world, as such it will bring changes in classificaitons. Some you may like that and some you may not. If things proceed as planned UXPL registration and player classifications will integrate with the NPPL data base, which would make my life a Helluva lot easier. If the UXPL becomes an NPPL feeder it would be Division 5, 4, 3 etc. UXPL 2005 vs. UXPL 2006 UXPL Rookie = D5 UXPL Novice = D4 UXPL Open = D3+ For UXPL events a D4 team could have one D3 player, a D3 team could have one D2 Player, etc. If there is enough interest from the D2, D1 players then we can run a mixed D2 & D1 division but the reality is you only have 2-3 teams who fall in that classificaiton. At the moment this is all just theory but as you can see I have given it some serious thought. Wether or not the UXPL can evolve will depend on multiple factors. 1) What will the NPPL charge to become "Officialy a feeder" 2) Will local teams help produce events 3) If I can arrange my personal life to allow enough time to do this. 4) Are Utah / Idaho players willing to pay enough money to create this type of event. 5) Other smaller considerations.. More later.. __________________ -Allen Turner, Paintball Evangelist (ret) Owner Millennium Paintball Producter of Paintball Scenario Games Paradox Games Promoter Utah Extreme Paintball League Last edited by Allen Turner : 09-27-2005 at 09:42 AM.

There is no way of knowing that right now since the classification schedule is one of the items being evaluated. __________________

👍 play for fun However the teams are classified. Frantic will be there to play and have a good time. Hope to see some of the old teams and maybe some new ones. I give great praise to Allen and his staff for the best tournaments. I also give props to Cory and his refs. I think a little more possitive input should be given to both of these guys. They put so much time and effort, they really could use some support. Criticisms can be a good thing if given in a reasonable manor, not in a hurtful/demeaning way. I think we as teams should help, in a possitive way, these guys to have as good a tournament season for next year (if not better) as this year was. That's just some food for thought.
