Uxpl 2006

Speaking of 2006 the UXPL staff is starting to outline goals for 2006, one of the items I would appreciate input on is 7-Man events.
The UXPL is considering running two or three 7-man events.

I would like to know if the current UXPL teams are interested in this format? Would it strain your paintball budget?

And if teams not participating in 5-man events currently would have more interest in a 7-man events?

Thanks,

You could always mix in a 7 man tourney within the 5 man tourney. Have a limit to 8 teams, seperate entry, seperate prizes held within that division with there money. Prizes wouldnt be as large, but it would give teams that wanted to play 7 man another chance to do so

Yah but you have to look at it this way even if you did cap it at 8 teams do you really think there would be eight 7 man teams? Right now there are like 6 or 7 teams that play 7 man. All of those are most likely not to show up to that so therefore i don't think 7 man would run very well. I say 3 man xball

3 man xball would rock. For utah events i would stick with the 5 and 3 man events. Like Jordan said there are only like seven 7man teams and most of them are not interested in the uxpl...

Jordan,

You never know whether or not the 5 man teams would or could participate in a 7 man. I know some of the Redz Old School guys want to play 7 man in the MWXPL. Granted most of the current teams that play 7 man are/would be considered novice or open.

Yah but that is one of few and thats why we have MWXPL that does 7 man. I think it should stay the same and MWXPL is 7 man and UXPL is 5 man
