I think u should have a 1 on 1 for the UXPL refs after the tournaments Sat. afternoon. 200 rds per game, 3 min. games and points for moving bunker to bunker and points for advancing up the field so u could possibly eliminate any ties. Single elimination. Free paint as part of the reffing package. It shouldn't be too much of a cost in paint.
A big trophy for the winner and even bigger bragging rights.
The reason for the ref only rule is to hopefully bring some interest in players that are not in the tournament to still have a chance of competing in a cheap local tournament.
There were alot of skilled players walking the sidelines or not even showing up for the event. Maybe u could kill two birds with one stone, get some interest in reffing and making sure open players that don't get on a team still can be part of the event.

We are entertaining doing a one on one, multiple field timed skirmishes
to crown a "Top Gun" next year. This will be an all day event with participant action on the Airball field, Urban Town, and Riverside. We will also be doing a similar program involing 5 man skirmishes. Velocity Paintball will sponsor the two best five-man teams from these 5 man skirmishes into the SPPL Tournament next year.
Trophys and prizes will go to the top three individual "Top Guns". The "Top Gun" event could be as early as April of next year. Details and rules will be coming. Give us your comments...
