JT USA: Proflex Mask

gee, I'm posting a lot tonight, I guess thats what happens when you cant sleep 😳
anways...

The first $100 dollars you spend on paintball should be on a quality mask. I started with a $15 dollar wallmart POS and regreted it 5 minuts after putting it on.

I decided to Get a Proflex mask from JT USA.

The first thing I looked for in a mask was comfort, after chafing my face with my old mask, this was the primary concern.

Second came foging. My POS fogged up as soon as the sun began to set. I'm a big fat sweaty guy, so this is an issue for me.

All else was secondary.

When I tried this mask on, it felt great. A little front heavy, but fixed by pulling the strap further up the back of my head. The foam around the gogle is first rate and fit well.

The lense it came with is a clear 'thermo lense'. meaning it has two lenses: one big one on the outside to keep those pesky paint pellets out, and a thin inner lense seperated by a thin rim of foam. The dual lens design allows one lense to change temprature with the outside enviroment, and the other to change temprature with your face. Thus keeping condensation from forming.

A lot of masks fit the bill as far as those two things are concerned, but this stuff tipped the ballance:

260* vision, as much, or more than any other gogle out there. You can only barely see the sides of the goggle even when looking towards them.

Flexable parts: The visor and face shield are very soft, flexable plastic, the ears are covered by dense foam (also adding to the comfort). So far I have had more than a few balls deflect right off the visor, and have yet had one break on it. However, a direct hit towards the mouth can lead to a slightly painfull smack to the kisser.

I also equiped my mask with a vortex fan setup. I havn't had much of a chance to effectivly use this thing, though I suspect the time will come. When I've had some experience with it, I'll write a review.

I like this mask a lot. The price is reasonable, and the usability is great.

I recently purchased this mask off a internet site (Panitballgear.com) and I love it. The Flex on the mask forms to your face nice, and its cool to fold it up and get some Gaterade.

I would rate this mask a 9/10
