Young Guns

I think that the UXPL should add a young guns division. Or at least for the two XPSL affiliates

We actually have done a young guns division before, but the turn out was so small it really wasn't worth the effort for the teams or the UXPL. If we can get enough teams to make the effort worth it for everybody, we will definatly look at the possibility.

well yes but your last one was 10-13, so some young guns teams couldn't play. I was just thinking maybe there would be a big turnout if you did it for an affiliate for XPSL

What age range do you want to see in a Young Guns?

I would do it like addicts. under 16 and can only have played in 3 man tournaments.

What can I say I don't like cheaters 🙂

Young Guns

Cory, at the event we had at Addicts last weekend we had 11 young guns teams register and 13 rookie teams. We at Addicts would help any way possible to assist in the success of a young guns division at the UXPL. I have already had 5-6 of those teams inquire when the next event will be. LMK if we can help in any way.

If it can be self sustaining then I am all for it. We could reduce the entry fee and limit the prizes for that division to make it more affordable for the young kids and thier parents.

Could the Young Guns Play on Friday?

If the 24 team cap is reached by the standard divisions it would be hard to add YG to Saturdays but we could run them on Fridays easy.

If the 24 team cap is not reached then we could add whatever number of YG teams we have left.

PS: The XPSL has a qualification to prevent experienced kids from playing in the YG..

"A player also can not have played on a National Level 7-player or X-ball/NXL Pro, Semi-Pro, Am, Novice or Rookie previous to the current tournament."

If the UXPL used the XPSL rules standard then some of the experienced kids who are already playing UXPL, XPSL events may be affected.
