johngo I comletely agree with you. But the uxpl is not a sponser of utahpb.com, and I think the adrenaland cups are part of the uxpl, so if they allow the uxpl event at addicts be advertised the event at adrenaland should also be advertised. Either way they are both part of the uxpl, it does not matter what the location it is still a uxpl event that does not sponser utahpb.com I wish you would not have to pay to advertise on a forum because a form is something you post your thougts, up coming events, and faq's. You should not have to pay to advertise on a forum but I guess that is why 801paintball was started.

Well not all of us can go to that other site since we are all mostly banned. That is why it was hard to get people to the uxpl events until they did one at addicts. It shows they love addicts more then they hate the uxpl. Like I said earlier it is the tournament series not the location the tournament is at.

Tuby, My regrets that you have been banned from the other site. Thanks for your respectful reply. I do see your point. My point was merely that we are paying for advertising on various web sites. I dont think it is a matter of giving love, as you mention. From my perspective it appears to be a matter of economics. As a paying advertiser on a web site, most web sites will allow us to advertise affiliated organazations based on the fact we have already paid the advertising fee's. So if we hosted a tourny with UXPL, MWXPL, XPSL NPPL, PSP or anyone else we should be able to advertise accordingly. We have not ambitiously advertised on any web sites at this time. We just like to see our name get out there to the regional paintball community. The thread on the other forum is just that, it is a thread started by an individual, not an advertisement from Addicts or UXPL. I would pay a fee to advertise on this site as well. I know that someone is paying money out of their pocket to keep this site up and running for all of us to use. We all owe thanks to those who are incurring the associated costs.

Take Care,
Johngo

I think you guys are looking into this way to deeply. From the posts I read this is what went down. Utahpb admins decided that they were entitled to some compensation for all of the time, money, and energy they had invested into their site. Since they had a marketable product, they felt it important to more strictly enforce an already existing rule that gave supporting advertisers and advantage over those who do not pay to support the site. The UXPL series along with dates, prices, and other info was blatantly advertised. They stepped in and deleted the post and warned the person who made it. Chris was upset, understandably, because the rule had only been half heartedly enforced in the past. Chris more or less told them that they could stick their site where the sun doesn't shine. This upset the admins at Utahpb, so they responded by deleting any posts about Chris or Adrenaland. Now, they both mention technicalities and other things as their reasons for what is going down, but this is pretty much at the heart of the matter. Certain things happened after that and it seemed to add more fuel to the fire. That said, Chris and Rick have been nothing but awesome with me in the short interactions I have had with them and I respect them both a ton and wish them both the best. They are both human, however, and we all make mistakes. Maybe someday all of the people involved will work out their differences and can be competetive in a more positive and less personal way.

Oh, and as far as I can tell, Johngo has tried to stay out of this mess to the best of his ability. I have nothing but respect for him and the others at Addicts. Keep up the great work!

I think chris has been trying to work out the differences with rick he invited him to the paintball community meeting and he said he was busy from what I have heard when ever chris wants to work it out rick is always busy. I really hate to see this huge problem because it is only hurting the paintball community. But you know what I guess this is life and we dont always have things work out that easy. Maybe one of you guys that are on utahpb.com could tell the users there to do exactly what thedarkone said and shut up and play and move on from this fight and as korny as this sounds just all be friends.
