We are planning to announce the 2005 season plans at the December 4th event at Addicts.

I can tell you that Allen has been working hard to secure venues for next season and that we are trying to control the situations that we saw this year which cause the cancellation of some events.

Come out to the Addicts event and hear the plans for 2005!

Hey Allen, make sure I'm on the database. For whatever we decide to call our team next year.

Derek, here is what I know and I know that Allen will clear anything else up that I can't answer. I just noticed that he isn't online and hasn't answered this yet.

I would suggest that you read through the UXPL's pdf of the 2005 season. You can get it at the UXPL's website but here is a link right to the pdf: http://www.uxpl.com/UXPL-2005-overview.pdf

Just incase you can't get it, it says: Each event is $250 per team; A $150 discount is available for season pre-payment. Season teams will get free entry to Thursday practices, reserved tent space, league shirts, discounts, priority for affiliate events, and other goodies. There is a 24 team max to assure high quality events. Entire 2005 season entry is only $850 if paid by April 15th. That’s only $170 per player for the entire season!

You can also get the dates that the events are. Again it says: All dates are confirmed; UXPL may shift to avoid conflict with XPSL or NPPL dates.
April 23rd
June 4th
July 30th
September 24th

As for your other question of classification I will leave that up to Allen or Cory to answer. I have only heard and nothing is confirmed so there for they are rumors. I don't want to spread those.

Hope to see you guys there.

By the way what team are all you guys playing on? Some of you have guys have your teams in your signature but some don't so what teams are thinking they are going to be there?

The Classifications are on the website Derek..
http://www.uxpl.com/players.htm

Here is the text. However with the XPSL changing we may have to change our defintions a bit.

****************************
The mission of the UXPL is to provide cost effective, competitive, and fun tournament paintball experience for local teams in Utah and surrounding states. It is the hope of the UXPL that teams will enjoy tournament paintball, develop their skills, and choose to participate in other regional and national paintball leagues.

The intent of the classification system is to allow teams to compete against teams of similar skill levels. The UXPL utilizes an experience and performance based system as the basis for classification. The UXPL reserves the right to re-classify any team based on their skill level to assure balanced play.

UXPL- Beginner Division:

This is for teams who have NO tournament experience. Teams who would like to experience tournament paintball can enter a UXPL in this division without fear of “getting smashed”. Teams may play one event in the Beginner Division. If they choose to attend a second event they will no longer be Beginner.

UXPL- Rookie:

This division is for teams who have played in local tournaments but have NOT played in Major events (XPSL, NPPL, PSP) or Affiliated events (MWXPL, WPC). 2004 UXPL Intermediate teams, who did not place in 2004 semi finals, may remain in the 2005 rookie division. UXPL Rookie teams may have one player who is UXPL Novice ranked on their roster. Teams may remain in the Rookie division for a maximum of 2 years.

UXPL- Novice:

This division is for teams who have been successful in the UXPL Rookie Division. All 2004 UXPL Advanced division teams must play in the 2005 Novice division. All 2004 UXPL Intermediate teams who played in semi-finals must play UXPL Novice.

Any team who has 2 or more players ranked as XPSL Rookie or XPSL 1st year Novice must play in the UXPL Novice Division. UXPL Novice teams may have one player who is UXPL Open ranked on their roster.

UXPL- Open:

This division is for teams who have been successful in the UXPL Novice Division or who have 2 or more players ranked as XPSL 2nd year Novice or Amateur or NPPL Division 3 or greater.

The UXPL understands that the classification system does not cover every possible situation. Teams may request classification if they are unsure of where they fit within the UXPL system. Decisions for Classification will be based on player experience and ranking, the number of tournaments, and previous team success.
