It finally happened to Utah Paintball.

The XPS will be hosting the 2nd National event of the Spyder Cup series on May 24th 2008. Utah has now been put on the map for paintball. This event will be held at the XPS fields in Syracuse. Spyder will be setting up two fields for this event along with the two fields for the XPS series. This will be an event not to miss.

The 24th will also be a 7 man feeder event for the XPSL.Teams will need to play this event to receive season ending extra 25 points for year end prizes. As of this time the remaining XPS events will be 5 man as it was last year. For more information please go to the XPS website @ XPSutah.com Remember you must register online to play any of the events this year.

Sincerely,
XPS Staff

This is great news and I am glad the Spyder Cup will continue this year as it was in doubt from last year. Nice that it is in Utah so that we won't have to drive to California and maybe it will bring some energy to this states sagging interest/efforts in tournament paintball the last few years.

Utah has been on the paintball map for a long time in many ways, this isn't any bigger news than many other accomplishment that have happened to Utah paintball in the last 10 years. But the tournament rookies will find the Spyder Cup exciting and news worthy to their new and limited local view of the sport.

Thanks XPS, you are helping to keep the sport alive here and should bring some media attention for your efforts.

If we play in spyder cup, isnt it a rule that you have to use a spyder brand marker? just wondering..

Is this still correct? On the XPS website it has May 10th as the XPSL feeder event, and the 24th as Spyder Cup. ???
