Triad Challenge

This is the second addition of the Triad Challenge that went over with huge success last year. This event is put on by Team Desert Edge.

When: April, 12 2008

Time: Registration and check in open at 7:30am. Walk the field from 8:30 to 9:15. Objective and rule briefing at 9:30 sharp. Game on at 10:00

Where: Desert Edge field. Eagle Mountain, Utah

Cost: $20 per person before April 7 and will include all day air. Entry fee the day of will be $25 and will include all day air. This event will be BYOP, but we will have paint for sale. Prices for paint are from $35-$60. We will also have CO2, gun rentals, food and drinks for sale.

Preregistration: Secure online payment Cash or check will be accepted the day of.

Format: The game format is three large team playing at the same time, 3 one hour rounds will be played with 30 minute breaks in between for rest, water, and refitting. There will be a total for 4 flags, one red, blue and yellow team base flags and one central/neutral flag. Each team will try and capture as many flags as possible while defending their own. Re-spawn every 10 minutes. We had around 80 players last year and will definitely break that this year. Almost everyone who we talked to after the game said that this was one of the best if not the best formats they have ever played.

Quick rule: Barrel stopping devises are REQUIRED. Coversplugs work. Squeegies and taking of you barrel is not acceptable. If you don't bring one we will have some for sale.

This is an RMPPA sanctioned event so all safety rules apply

I can't wait for this event! The Triad game this last weekend was awesome. Everyone be sure to make it to this one.

The Triad format is an exciting game. Simple layout with plenty of elements of suprize. I love when one team thinks they have everything under control, when suddenly the team they weren't paying attention to--comes along and back-doors them.

This will be one of the coolest scenarios of the season.

I would love to see some of the "Non Woodsball" teams and players out for this one. I think the format fits all play styles.

Yah it's too bad that these events fell on the same day, hopefully there can be some cooperation in the future between the guys organizing tournaments and others on setting up event dates.

In any case, this event is shaping up to be HUGE!
