torque review

i just got my torque today. with all the hype over new loaders i thought some of you would find this helpful.

The first thing i noticed when i opened the box was how light it is compared to a halo/empire b.

the other nice thing is how sleek it is. the seem is barley noticeable and there are no screw holes. this means easy cleaning. the thing that interested me the most is the tear apart.

the buttons are on the inside and kind of a bitch to push and pull the shells apart at the same time. you have to force it and you feel like you are going to break it. It just takes getting used to. Once you get it apart you see where the torque really shines. there are pretty much just 4 peices now. 2 shell halves lid and the motor/drivecone/raceway thing. its great cause you can clean this thing so easily without having to worry about screws or pins or springs or anything. also all the wires are well secured so no more wire pinching.

the nice part is the option for 2 9v or a aa battery pack. and the batterys fit in really well.

then you just snap the thing back together still feeling like you have to force it too much but it survives.

I put it on my ego and it had no problem keeping up at 15 bps psp.

break down
pros
screwless
light
no lid spring
no lid pin
fast
reverse button

cons
lid opening is small
hard to break apart at first
holds only 150 (hardcorps is talking about releasing bigger shells)
no rip drive
has a constant hum when you arent shooting

all and all

9 out of 10

i think this loader is sweet i havent played a game with it yet so maybe my oppinion will change. as of right now this will be my main loader in xball this year. my empire reloader b will be my backup

I recently got the new Torque and I love it. It now has a wider mouth and a greater capacity (about 180 I believe) so they've fixed the two biggest issues. It still is a pain to get apart and back together, but as long as you don't leave changing the batteries to the last minute, you'll be alright. They also have a new motor which increases the battery life significantly. The other benefit is how low profile it is. The body of the hopper sits less than an inch above my Etek2 with the stock feedneck, without any customizing or tampering. Great loader, highly recommend it.
